I put them around the island, especially as decoration in front of the villagers' houses. (And Nook's Cranny, and the Museum, and the Able Sisters shop....) I give some as gifts, and they always display them. I've sold a few as well. The villagers always look weirded out when I put them on the beach, but I put a lot of random things on the beach. (Beds, musical instruments, that custom cardboard photo thing where you can stick your face in a hole...I made mine a sumo wrestler.)
The copies i sell at Nooks, but the rest are all lined up on my beach on the left side of my island, with block stereos near them so they can dance. Not sure how many but probably at least 50 or more. It gets laggy in the entire area too
I first started putting them on my entry room wall, but then I ran out of wall space. I plan on moving most of them outside and hiding them around my island like koroks, while I make a gyroid adoption center for my duplicate gyroids where visitors can take them.
Shoved in my inventory lol Love them but no place for them just yet. I think I’ve placed a couple on my island, but I haven’t found a lot of spots for most of them.
I put my favorites in my house. I am trying to put them around for little surprises! I also love them by my villagers gardens!!!!! GYROIDS ARE SO MUCH CUTER IN NH COMPARED TO PAST GAMES. I never used the old gyroids bc they looked like dead ppl.... but the original croakoid and brewstoids were SO good! I MISSED THE MULTIPLE SIZES BUT ATLEAST THE SMOL ONES ARE ADORBS!
I'm collecting all of them and I have a little 'gyroid yard' at the back of my island to display them all. I've made sure that they're all displayed so that when I stand in a specific spot, all of them start making noise! It's fun to stand there and listen to them. I've never cared about them before in previous games, but I really love the look of them in New Horizons.
