Hiii! I have like a ton of 3ds games that I like to keep on the go with me. Currently they're just stored in a bead sorter bin thing, but with me getting a new switch bag recently (specifically the rds industries travel case) I'd like to be able to keep my 3ds/3ds games in it as well. Either by somehow putting the games inside the switch bag (preferably) or attaching two bags by the handles like you would a suitcase I guess?

I can't decide if I want to go get a plastic card holder like this:

or a zip up bag like this:

So which would you prefer? Your choice doesn't have to be geared towards my situation (I just figured I'd explain why I'm making this post), I'm just honestly curious what people prefer.

I usually pick functionality over appearance. If the plastic case I find at the moment has more storage space for games, I pick that. The case has better storage space for the games and maybe the system, I get that.

I like zip up bags. For the first Nintendo handheld I owned and every single one after that, I would get a bag. Especially since I would switch out which game to play a lot with the DS "family" I own, I liked how the bags would have the elastic netting for the cartridges. Ease of access is important to me.

The suitcase design is more sleek and durable but 🤷‍♀️ the ones I've seen didn't hold that many cartridges.

I prefer to use a zip up bag, as I feel like it's just much easier to quickly pop the cartridges in and out, whereas the plastic cases can be a bit more annoying. I've never had problems with them falling out , but I have heard that can happen with zip up one's, so the plastic one may be slightly safer and keep your cartridges in good condition.

Wow I voted before I read the first post and I thought you were making me pick between an actual plastic case or a ziploc bag LOL

But honestly it depends on how many games I have. I only have a few physical ones so I have a small zelda plastic case with little buttons that pop out the games I want and it works well for me since my carrying case doesn't have slots for games so I just stick the thing in there since its small. I don't really fancy having to carry a carry case for my switch and a zip up bag for my games

Well uh... I actually use this card case back from when Club Nintendo still existed.

It's shaped just like a typical 3DS case, but it has 18 slots instead of just 1. It's really nice and durable. The only problem with it being from Club Nintendo is that I basically can't find them anymore, be it the official ones or third-party ones...

But for other consoles (like the DS and the Switch), I go for zip-up bags. Preferably one that also has some room for the console itself.

I prefer bags because I'm overly cautious with my games and feel like plastic will scratch the gamecard. The gamecards do, can and have fallen out of their little slot thing when I open the bag too fast, but I notice this only when the bag got really old. Like, 6-7 maybe more years old. Plus the elastic has been stretched out so it's not as tight anymore.

I think the bags are more travelable, plus depending in the bag you can put your console, earbuds, screen cloth wipe thingy, styli and other stuff. Carries more items and is easy to travel with. Bam, all your stuff in one thing.

I have the big case meant for the DS lite, it came with headphone, screen protectors, styli, and has multiple elastic pouches. I use them to store my other 3DS consoles along with my lite and spare styli.
