What's a website you miss that doesn't exist anymore?

Any of the Pokemon fansites from 2006-2012 era. Such good memories with them. I hope the webmasters are all doing well.

I remember having fun with PopCap Games (and similar websites) when I was a kid, which doesn't exist anymore. I see it's possible to buy Insaniquarium on Steam, and I'm tempted, since I'd say that was the most memorable game for me. 😅🐟

there used to be a lot of Hamtaro fan websites that had tons of dress up games, fanmade images, and info that was so cool when I was younger LOL I really miss those

i miss the random old fansites. geocities, angelfire, and the like. pure fun, no one trying to maximize clicks or ads or anything like that

What has been mentioned already. Angelfire and Geocities. It was fun just looking up my favorite show or character and ending up on the fanpages.

There was another site that I hung on too before it disappeared around the mid/early late 2000s. It was a fansite for 101 Dalmatians (mainly for the cartoon from the 90's that I was OBSESSED over as a kid and almost all teen years). I still have print outs of old fanfics that have the address down on it. So every once in a while I would look it up on the Wayback Machine for the nostalgia.
I have come across some of the older members very recently, It's so nice to see them still around. <3

Oh, I remembered another site I liked. It still exists, in a sense. It was formerly called TasteKid and you could type in bands, books, or movies you liked, and it would recommend others of the same genre. It was really good for broadening your interests in a genre. The site was later renamed and modified, and now it doesn't have any of the charm or simplicity that it used to have, and the recommendations are lackluster.

I see it's possible to buy Insaniquarium on Steam
Also, it was $1.50 so I went ahead and bought it. It was cute to replay it after so long; I forgot how silly the premise is.

I wasn't involved in Hamtaro fansites as a kid to my memory, but I did visit Hamtaro.com! I have a cute image of some Ham-Hams running through a cherry blossom field that I printed out and tapped to my childhood bedroom door.

Ham-Ham Paradise is still active though, and has a Discord if you're not on it yet.

I'm actually not sure if this site still exists, but I LOVED Homestar Runner many many years ago! I feel like they should have had a show alongside other late-night cartoons like Space Ghost and Aqua Teen Hunger Force.

I don't think there's anything I can remember off the top of my head, and I've barely heard of most of these websites that were mentioned, But yeah, goes to show how young I am. XD But I like learning about the past, so this was an interesting read.

It's still up!

There was also the monster high website

I swear I could make my own character? So hard to remember.
