I don't think this should include Animal Crossing, since this is all about Animal Crossing here, so basically any other game.

Personally for me, Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door is currently the only game that can make me feel like a kid again whenever I play it. I play it at least once a year ever since the first year I played it.

Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time or one of the older Pokémon games! Those were my first DS games and I took them absolutely everywhere with me. My parents even used it to tell how sick I was- if I wasn’t playing, I was too sick for school the next day lol! They always make me feel like a kid when I replay them.

Simpson’s hit and run for me or ape escape 2! They were some of my faves on my ps2 I could name a lot more like Mario party, wii sports, nintendogs 🥺 I miss the old days

literally any ds game that was about disney shows (hannah montana, wizards of eagerly place, etc) and a lot of the imagine ds games (the teacher one was my favourite lol)

Pokemon Conquest! I beat that game and every post-game mission in it when I was younger. It was such a fun time! I even unlocked the extra final mission and beat that too. A couple months ago I restarted my file and beat the game with Lucario as my partner (because my name is Riley), and I’m on the post-game missions for it again. Haven’t really played them though because I’ve been getting good use out of my Switch... lol

hm. probably the legend of zelda oracle of ages/seasons? i never got far and shared the gameboy we had with my dad who was absolutely obsessed with both games (i was instructed to make my own save file and not touch his, haha) but it sure takes me back to that one time they picked me up from school, we went for lunch and my mom went into a gardening store while i watched my dad play 'em in a car while it rained outside. now i'm kinda sad.

Obviously games I played when I was younger but whenever I play Minecraft with my boyfriend i feel like I’m a kid again staying up late on summer vacation. God Minecraft is so fun

I never played it until last year

Any of my old CD-ROM games. Kid Pix, Pajama Sam, Reader Rabbit, etc. Those are what I actually had as a child. I didn't get to have other kinds of games until middle school.

Any old Pokemon game for me. I love the newer ones (I have played Pokemon X, Alpha Sapphire and Moon), but there's nothing like playing a good old fashioned pixelly gameboy Pokemon game. ☺

Rampage, Mario Party (any iteration), the sonic game with the Chao garden, Monster Rancher for PlayStation when you had to scan CD’s to find monsters.

Also a game I got from a Captain Crunch box haha. You raised a little mutant monster by feeding it Captain Crunch.

A lot of the basic sim games or games full of color/whimsy make me feel like a child again (e.g.: Diner Dash, Cooking Mama, Nintendogs, Plants v.s Zombies, Paper Mario, Mario Party, Pokemon).

So many great memories! Nintendogs especially - loved caring for all my little cuties. <3

Anything on the gamecube especially Mario Part 4 and Super Monkey Ball 2 and Super Princess Peach on the DS

Pretty much anything that is actually from my childhood, for starters...a ton of old Sega Genesis games. And definitely the earlier Pokemon Gameboy games. Even the modern Pokemon games give me that feeling...because the connection is still there for the old games. I can play something like Sword or Shield and feel like a child, because I have those memories of the older games in the franchise. Also, Streets of Rage 4 just came out the other day...and that definitely gives me the childhood feels. Can definitely feel Streets of Rage 1-3 memories when playing 4. Sonic Mania also did this. Anything that is modern, but modeled after a classic...the feels are still there.

Final fight, bad dudes and metal slug X the arcade games. They were the first games I ever played before I had any sort of hardware for gaming. They were on a CD with mame32 I was given and had tons of arcade games. You had to swim through all the garbage to find the proper gems in that list.

Mario and Sonic Olympic winter games-my very first ds game was always getting help from my older cousin or would play against him
Pokemon white 1 and 2 - first pokemon I ever played my cousin had the reverse black 1 and 2, he would always help me, got to the pokemon league and N's castle part when we where camping, beat the game
Pokemon X Y- he had Y first and would always play at my place, sleep over on the small couch in my room,I'd wake up and go over to him playing together, X was my birthday present from him and my aunt, the first time I finished a pokemon game without mayor help from him
Nintendogs + Cats - I loved my dogs and cat so much, named them after friends and first dog after my aforementioned cousin

Damn I made myself nostalgic just now
