What year did you start playing Animal Crossing: New Leaf?

I would like to know how many people already had 3ds before the game came out and how many bought it specifically for the game?

I already had a 3ds and was playing wild world on it.

I was in Best Buy one day and saw the Special Edition Gold Zelda with A link between worlds already loaded and had to have it. I also bought Luigi's mansion that day. I don't remember just what year that was but I suspect it was 2014. I played a little (very little) of those games, got bored and put it away until, for reasons I can't recall, I bought ACNL and have been hooked ever since.

I started after graduating High School, so it's around March 2014. I played Animal Crossing: New Leaf to escape myself from depression and keep myself occupied against my anxieties, but unfortunately it doesn't work that way.

2015. I wasn't allowed to buy a 3DS earlier because I was 'too old for toys,' so I kept playing City Folk until my Mum eventually caved in and let me buy one.

I only started playing this year of 2016. I just got my 3DS almost a year ago. I always wanted one a lot sooner, but what happens, happens I guess. When I heard about Animal Crossing: New Leaf, I didn't think much of the game. After hearing it was very popular, my curiosity emerged and I realized I actually really wanted to play it. Only then, did my sister get it for my birthday back in June. I'm glad I looked it up when I did. x'D I'm a late bloomer I know haha!

I only started playing this the end of last year. It was a couple of months or so before I actually joined this site and started doing stuff online. Played wild world before (and still sometimes do) and the original animal crossing a long time ago

I got a nintendo 3DS for my birthday in november 2014 and a few games (i got addicted to fantasy life) and for christmas i got new leaf. I think it was really special getting it in the lovely month of december with the whole happy atmosphere.

I've been playing since April 2014. I had gotten back into Wild World sometime before that and wanted to see how the newest AC title was like. I bought a 3DS specifically for ACNL, just as I bought a DS Lite specifically for Wild World. I haven't been much into other Nintendo games. AC has kept me interested though.
