What would your "perfect" map look like?

If you could have chosen every aspect of your map... what would your perfect map have been? (Pretend we could scroll through every single possible map at the start).

I know some people love to roll with what they get and find a way to make it work, which I think is awesome. But this is more for people who are pretty particular about certain features.

So in terms of airport color, native fruit, river outlets, RS location, peninsula shape and location, dock length and anything else I may be leaving out... what's your ideal map and why?

Airport: Blue
Fruit: Peach
River outlets: East and South
RS: I think I'd want it lined up with airport, but not too close to the beach
Peninsula: Northeast corner. My current one is pretty skinny, but I'd kinda like one that's a little wider.
Dock length: Long

I'm going to be starting a second island eventually, but I'm not in a huge hurry to play it since I already have my main island going. I thought it would be kinda fun to reset a bunch to see how close I could get to my list. Since I'm in no rush I could literally reset for weeks just to see different map combinations, lol.

Out of all those things the main ones for me would be the airport color and fruit. I'd also really like a peninsula somewhere in the north for some reason. I could definitely live with West/South river outlets and a RS that doesn't line up with the airport. (As long as RS is pretty centered on the map).

Native fruit: Pear
River outlets: East and South
Peninsula: Big enough to put something on it
Dock length: The bigger the better

I would trade all of that for a bigger map, though.

I don't mind the airport color but blue is fine.The native fruit should be anything other than pears but it's not too obvious now unless you look into the passport so I probably wouldn't mind it next time. I'm honestly not that picky as long as the RS isn't too close to the airport and the map as a whole looks big/spacious.

Would've liked to get a blue or green airport color with orange as my native fruit, but I'm happy with what I got either way!

If I could pick, I think I'd move my dock to the east shore, have oranges as my native fruit (I LOVE oranges) and then it would be a coin flip between blue and orange airport. Maybe hyacinths or cosmos as native flower, though I guess roses would still be the logical best choice if hybrid islands were still a thing but I like other flowers better. And it would be cool if my peninsula were just a little bigger so there's room to walk all the way around the lighthouse. Otherwise, I'm pretty happy with what I have. I prefer my airport and RS to not line up with each other at all so I have a nice straight road running south to north and it doesn't get in the way.

RS: Away from the beach and to the side of the airport
Peninsula: on the west side. I definitely prefer them a little fatter lol

my map I have now I got pretty lucky with, I have a blue airport and my island fruit is the peach, and my RS isn’t too close to the airport and it’s to the side. It is kind of close to the beach though. I have a southern river outlet and a western river outlet. I prefer fatter peninsulas because then it’s easier to design them and put furniture on it and still make it easy to walk through. same thing with the docks, longer is nicer in case I want to put furniture on it.

I had it all planned out before playing the game (except RS placement and airport color). For the most part I got all the other aspects I wanted and was lucky enough to get them on the first try.

Airport: Green (If I knew about it before, I would have aimed for blue, but honestly I'm liking the green more as it fits with the forest theme.)
Fruit: Cherries
River Outlets: West and South
RS: Far away, about middle of the section and lined up with the airport.
Peninsula: West side | medium width
Dock length: Longest

What you haven't mentioned though is the secret beach location. I would have loved if mine was more to the right rather than smack dab in the middle. It kind of interferes with my mountains.

I'm pretty happy with my map right now, and I don't think I could really imagine what my island would look like if I had a different layout. I would have liked to have a blue airport, but I'm fine with what I have now. The only thing I wish I knew about before was the size of my peninsula. It's absolutely tiny, and I can barely fit a lighthouse on it! I was planning on having a little decorated area, but I gave up on that once I saw the peninsula's size. It's not enough to make me reset though, so I've decided to just stick with my one little lighthouse~
