What would happen if...

Say I wanted to adopt a certain villager from someone else's town, let's say for example Roald.
But I already had Roald living in my town.
Would the second Roald claim he knew me and couldn't move to my town as he already lives there?!
Or could I possibly end up with 2 Roalds?!

I've confused myself a bit. But has there ever been a case where you've wanted to adopt a villager who is already in your town?!

You definitely can't adopt another Roald! Haha. If I had to guess, the Roald in the second town probably just wouldn't prompt you asking if he could move there.

From my experience, when I visit another town with my villager, the villager doesn't recognize me. I think the only time they recognize me is if it's in a dream town.

PrincessAurora yeah I didn't think I could get 2 Roalds, haha! I've only been recognised in a dream town too, but I do think it's strange when they don't recognise me in another town, but then again it would also be strange if they did.. guess it's like a parallel universe for the animals, living in more than one town!

A town full of the same villager? That's kinda spooky and very strange. I don't think I would want that.

Also, I don't think you can have the same villager unless you have two different towns. The game just doesn't allow it.

maybe through hacking it'd work? but yeah normally it shouldn't be able to happen though.
also since i can't sleep and im really bored im thinking what if you had an entire town full of just isabelles
