I just bought Punchy ( Ty Pixr ) yesterday and his plot IS in my town now... but in a terrible spot. I'm just wondering what would happen if I time travel to the next day. ( ? ▽ ` ) Will his plot be in a different spot, will he have already moved in, or will he not move it at all? There's many possibilities so dunno.

Someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but unfortunately, I'm pretty sure that once you load up the game as one of your permanent characters, that plot is 100% set in stone, even if you go back in time or forward in time. If you move forward, he will probably be moved in, but the plot will be in the same spot.

Note that I'm not an expert so I could be wrong, but I'm about 99% sure on this.

Turn your game off.
If you havent been playing for a while then maybe you have been saved
To answer your question, if you were to time travel to the next day punchy would have moved in.

The way to plot reset is on the day that the villager has put their plot in you DO NOT EVER EVER EVER load an existing character. Create a new character. Look around the town for plots, if you dont like where this animal is then go to the home menu and close animal crossing (dont worry its safe for your game). Aaaand repeat until you like where the animal is. Then you can just go to isabelle plot your house and save.

If you time travel to the next day, he'll officially be moved in, and his plot will be a house.

I'm afraid you're kind of screwed; once you load up the game when someone's moving in, there's no way to change where the plot is. The only way to do that, is to let Punchy move out whenever that opportunity arises.

I'm sure that even if you turn your ds off, once you've loaded as your mayor there is no way to change that plot. Which is why plot resetting always involves starting a new character and then closing the game. Once you've loaded as the mayor your town is set for that day.
The only thing you can do now is to make the best of it, if possible. If it's not possible, then the only choice you would have is to move him out and cycle 16 villagers to get him back....I'd sooner try to make it work first though. Although I have done the cycle several times myself already, hoping to do it again soon for Genji too. So it is possible, especially if you haven't got a town full of dreamies
