For me, I always think of a pine forest on a lake way up north, around where my cottage is. It reminds me of the summers I used to have at the cottage since I first started playing animal crossing wild world while it was being built. Sweet nostalgia... plus the way the game is designed makes me feel that way even when walking around an untouched town. What vibes do you get from this game?
I feel like I can never do enough for the villagers! I feel calm and happy and then my villagers start gossiping and asking for stuff and I start getting a bit agitated. I hate it when flurry wants to move away she's my favorite!!!
I like in the city, however, we get 3/4 of the seasons (it only rains in the winter). So when I play, I feel at home, but more connected with nature. 90% of the time I'm stressing out about school but ACNL and other AC games in general have been a form of escape where I can feel at home. It's cool because each season gives off a different vibe to me too! There's also this place about an hour away from my home that feels like a real life AC environment and I love visiting there especially in the fall season. Idk, AC is my home away from home, and I've been playing since I was a small child, so no matter how old I get, AC will always feel nostalgic and will always make me feel at home.
AC makes me feel super relaxed (with the exception of bug hunting lmao, that stuff is stressful) and it makes me think of going camping and like hiking and sitting by the campfire? I got my first AC game for christmas while we were camping so now I always relate the series to this one cosy beach town. Now I live in a real suburban area/in the city and haven't been camping in forever because of work and uni so playing AC is really really nostalgic for me? I love it, the game makes me feel really productive even if i've sat around and done nothing all day.

ACNL is my escape. My RL isn't all rainbows and unicorns exactly, so playing ACNL lets me escape for a bit. I have more friends there, I enjoy doing things for the villagers since they take the time to do things for me too. Seeing them smile and talking to them is amazing, and I love wandering around doing things and getting bells. I wish getting money was this easy in rl lol. It's definitely relaxing for me and it makes me happy
