I'm trying to make my house and some of my exhibit rooms follow (or loosely follow) a medieval theme, since I'm trying to base the layout of some of my rooms on some rooms in the Dragon Age series and use furniture that looks close to what the ones look like in the game or ones that I think would go well with the "theme" (even if it looks nothing like what I've seen in the game). I was surprised with how much of ACNL's furniture I could utilize to help achieve the layout and appearance that I want the rooms to eventually look like; however, there are still some things I wish there were in the game such as: more customization options as well as more of a variety and selections of each type of furniture. I like how there are different themes for each furniture and furniture set and I also like how each one is unique in their own way. What I would have liked to see in the game (since I ended up following through the idea of basing more than the flag and name of my town on Dragon Age concepts/designs/etc.), is not for the items be exactly like the ones in the games--that wouldn't make really any sense at all. What I'd like is that there being more desk type objects, different type of material that they're made out of, different and more color choices to customize them, maybe different/more shapes and maybe more sizes for the furniture. While I've found plenty (but not quite as much as I'd like) of furniture that would make the rooms look like the way I want them too, the limited choices of color and material for some furniture makes each furniture from a different set or different color stand out a lot and not in a good way.
For example, look at the ranch and modern wood furniture and the color choices you have. My rooms will be using a lot of modern wood furniture; I will also use some ranch furniture because the shape of the items seem to look close enough to what I need for the room. Take a look at my screenshots:
In the first screenshot, I'm trying to make it look like this. In the second screenshot, I'm trying to make it look like:

I can't find a good wallpaper for the room in the second screenshot (of my rooms in ACNL); and I wish I could change the color of the floor in it to grey.
The cabana chair is the closest I could find to match the red chair with the wooden border; the modern wooden lamp is temporary so ignore that; the cabin wardrobe and the plant is temporary (not sure about the mannequin). None of the colors that I could choose to customize the ranch bookcases go well with any of the darker color wood furniture.

I'd like to hear what everyone else would like an improvement on in customization, or in the types of furniture in ACNL. In other words: what types of furniture do you wish ACNL had, and customization options?
