So I am terraforming my island all over again... because I love myself. XD And I have never TT in an Animal Crossing game because I heard it can cause a lot of problems. (This may have only been for the gamecube version, but I have been scared to try since then, so correct me if I'm wrong. lol) I'm at the stage where I can't really do a whole heck of a lot until I move and/or demolish things...

What do I do while I'm waiting? It's going to take another two-ish weeks before I'm finished, lol... That's a lot of down-time. And if TT is safe now, how do I make a bunch of bells so I don't break the bank trying to get it all moved? And what happens to my village when I get back to the actual time?

i'm in the same boat as you as i progress around my island, and work on how i want things to be; whenever i have to move a building, i'm always waiting until the next day. generally i'll get my building plot placed, and do as much as i can around that area to settle it in before the next day comes. and then if you have any other areas that need to be worked on, maybe try those? sometimes it's hard, especially given you want to work on the area the building will be moved from the next day, but it's the only way i've gotten around it myself.

i hope you find some things to keep your time while you wait for your buildings to shift around ^^ pinterest has a lot of great pictures to look through in your downtime as well, to gather ideas for other areas. even the smaller portions of your island that you aren't too sure about yet. <3

I bought bells with my TBT on here because I have no patience lol. It came in handy because I spent so much while moving villagers' houses. I TT'd too because it would take far too long. TTing to me is also draining so if you choose that route, you might find the same thing. But to me it's way better than waiting for weeks to accomplish the same thing that you could in a few hours. It's all up to you though on which method you decide on. That's just what I did.

People sell BELLS?! LOL, I have to find this!

I can help with this because I've actually time traveled a bit in this game!

Basically, you just change the date on your system clock. That's it.

There is no consequence for time traveling in this game with villagers. Villagers will not move out unless they run it through you first.

The only consequence is with turnips. If you have turnips and you move the date or time BACKWARDS, then your turnips will rot. If you travel FORWARDS your turnips will not rot as long as you stay within the week. Sunday to saturday = fresh turnips. Sunday to Sunday = rotten turnips.

As far as making bells, when I was time traveling I used the stalk market with help from stalks.io. I only used my own island for turnip trading, but you could easily look online for someone who has a big turnip price to make bank.

You can also just do your Nook Mike plus goals (only the x2 or x5 goals) and save any fish and bugs you get for Flick and CJ. And sell all of your fruit and/or pumpkins when they grow.

Believe it or not, people do sell bells! LOL.

There’s usually an exchange currency where you can buy bells for TBT or NMT. I’d recommend checking it out if you don’t want to farm. However, if you’re all right with farming, I’d do fruit trees as your means of making money. You can plant lots of coconut trees along your beach and it won’t impede your terraforming progress.

Also, I TT literally back and forth all the time and have NEVER had problems. Now, that doesn’t mean you won’t, but it’s very unlikely. I recommend as you TT each day, pay attention to when your coconut trees regrow fruit and then farm those again. You might make around 100k or more every 2ish days. (I forgot the time it takes for fruit to regrow.)

You can find Daisy Mae (aka baby Joan) on Sundays before noon. You can just change your time to the morning.

Also remember that turnip prices change twice a day. They have a morning price and an afternoon price. You just can not go from 2 pm to 8 am earlier that day with turnips or else your prices will change and your turnips will rot.

If you need a detailed example of how to surf turnip prices for a week in your town, let me know and I can give you an example week. ♡
