So the title pretty much says it all. I have no idea what do with the trees in my town. I thought I could plant a pine tree in front of every villagers' house, but now that I've been boxed in by Kiki that's not possible anymore. So I really have no idea what with trees now.
What do you guys do with the trees in your town? How do you use them to make your town beautiful?

I use my perfect fruit trees to line my pathways with bushes. I also have a cedar forest, just kind of depends on what look your town is going for. :)

I have a foresty kinda town, so I use a LOT of pine trees. If your Town Square is close to a cliff/the train tracks, I would line up trees in the back. Another thing I might do (if your town square has lots of space around it) is surround it with trees and bushes.

For you town, I would put bushes along your path with trees at the turns and intersections.

Right now I'm in the habit of planting them like pathway outlines, only when they finish growing (and if they don't have perfect fruit) I cut them down to see if they have a patterned stump. Paths made out of stumps with bushes or flowers in between look really neat, IMO.

I use cedars to line some areas, and otherwise I have some small foresty areas. I also have trees in villagers yards if they have enough room.

it all depends, really, on what your town's theme is. mine is nature, so i'll have lots of trees (not cedar. they look weird.) and bushes and such in ways that highlight 'landmarks' and buildings. for example, my first pwp, a streetlamp, is surrounded by a larger-than-normal path and has trees, bushes, and a bench. its all about placement.

I considered planting an orchard on a narrow strip of land I have. However, it's in the northern portion of my town, so I'd rather have cedars there. I've seen some lovely landscaping alternating trees and bushes along a path. Considering that.

I like making little paths and woods! When I first got ACNL I planted one fruit tree in front of everyone's house.

i have some foresty areas, and loads of perfect trees as well as other fruit trees lining certain pathways and such. i adore trees, particularly the cedar ones but seeing as how those only grow in the upper part of town, can't use them everywhere as i would like.

I only have one pine tree. It's next to my retail station. The rest of my trees are all fruit. The right side of my town is all perfect fruit and the left is all non native.

I have no pines in my town, just normal oaks. When I was trying to map out places for trees in the beginning of my village, I decided to plant plain cedars along one of my straight paths. That line of trees looks so nice during the cherry blossom festival!

Even though the cherry blossom festival doesn't last as long (as I'd like it to) it definitely made me rethink the placement of the majority of trees in my village.

And I have a small sitting area of tree stumps near my main bridge. It's a villager hotspot. They're going to be completely surrounded by pink carnations once I breed enough.

I HATE cedar trees and the first thing I did after getting an axe was chopping all of them down. I'm in the process of chopping my normal trees down to only two.

Not sure how I feel about fruit trees right now but I'm going to be chopping most of them down too after I get my golden watering can.

My villagers call me a stump maker for a reason.

I made a little arch around the back of my house with cedar trees, it came out really good. I also put mushrooms between them, to give it a forest/nature-y feel.
