What time of the day do villagers talk to each other?

I rarely get villager-villager dialogue. Sometimes it takes weeks to get them to talk to each other. However, I realized that on some days, they would jabber non-stop. Last night, Tangy talked to 3 different villagers, and T-bone talked to 2 different villagers at around 10 pm, when singing in front of Residence Services. That was crazy. If I get two conversations in a day, that usually is rare for me already.

What are your experiences with villager-villager dialogues?

From my experience, it always varies. The thing with my town is that everything is pretty far apart, so it's often rare to see villagers congregating in one area. But on Saturdays when K.K. comes to visit, they often are around the residential services plaza so it's more common for them to interact with each other.

In terms of time, I think from my observation, usually the peak time is around afternoon when they talk to one another since that is usually the hour when everyone is out and about

But I think another factor is how long you stay outside and observe them. Since they tend to wander around, eventually they will cross paths with another villager and they could potentially talk to each other. I remember I spent around 30 minutes following Roald and he spoke to 3 different villagers within that timeframe!

It really varies, but my encounters of villagers talking are almost always around Resident Services. I've had a few near their homes since my villagers live close together, but not nearly as much. I'm sure it depends too on how long you're willing to wait for a conversation to happen or if you're popping in and out while working on other stuff.

I trapped marshal and judy in an area with hole in it, waited an hour and they didn't talk sooooo

I once shoved everyone into the airport area and they all started talking to each other CONSTANTLY. I really liked seeing all that dialogue lol.
I think being close to eachother is the only requirement but I could be wrong there? I think it was like 1-2pm

I don't think there is a time condition. They just have to be face to face

It can happen anytime. I watched a stream where Roald and Sprinkle talked to each other twice within 10 minutes. I think it was because they were momentarily stuck in their spots on a path and the conversation just triggered again though.

It happens to me so often. Just depends on how long you play each session and how many villagers are out. Morning and afternoon are probably the most likely. Also an enclosed plaza will make them greet each other more often (which is what triggers the convos)

yes that makes sense. i was following tangy around for pics, so thats why i can see so many dialogues
