what species should be added?

I've always wanted chipmunks, geese, "big dogs" and "small dogs" (similar to the bear/cub group) in the game.

I second the different breeds of dogs... It would be cool to have Corgis, Chihuahuas, French Bulldogs, Great Danes, etc.
I'd also hope the same for cats - I miss having a big fluffy Persian on my island since I'm a cat mom to 4 in real life.

Other than that - turtles (I know there's Tortimer but then we also have a bunch of dog NPC's), lizards, axolotls, fish, ferrets, etc.

Even if they were not to add more species to the following, I'd still like to see a hamster villager that looks like a Guinea pig and a mouse villager that resembles a rat.

I really do hope we get more species/villagers with the updates.

armadillos!!!!! i'm a texan, so i'm biased, but they're soooo unique and there's so many options with them. or more xenarthra villagers in general, silky anteaters, etc.

also platypus or otters, pleaaaase. they would be so flipping cute please imagine their sweet paws and soft fur and broad bills!!!

I would like Insect villagers. Or Spiders (they are arachnids).

Would also love to see bats.
Had not thought of weasels but I would love that too.
