Okay so at the moment, my AC:NL game is stuck in May. Well, it's not really "stuck", but I'm keeping it in that time period so that none of my villagers move out while I take an indefinite hiatus from the game.

The only thing is, how am I gonna get it back to the regular date? Do I just have to move forward 5 days at a time and make sure no one moves out? Or is there a quicker way to move the clock forward without messing anything up?

I'd appreciate any help yall

just go forward 1 day at a time, wait for someone to ping, and go to the current day. Or: you could do what I do.
Which is to write down the date you last played somewhere and just go 1 day forward from that. :)

There is a way to move to go forward any amount of time without worry of villagers moving. I found this information on Reddit awhile back and when I did it worked with no problem and I went forward 5 months.

This is the directions that the person on the site gave...

"There is a method!
Enact the Beautiful Town ordinance.
Time travel forward until someone pings.
Say no (you can say yes, but that involves losing a villager, which you don't want).
Save.
Start you file again and set the date right.
You'll have a few weeds, and you'll need to fix your hair at Shampoodle, but everything else will be fine!
Make sure to talk to all of your villagers afterwards, as after about 5 days not talking to them, they start to ignore you, and therefore they won't ping if they're planning to move.
I've recommended this to quite a few people now after I stumbled upon it by accident when I inadvertently TTed back a year. I panicked for a while, Lolly asked to move, so I said no and then just decided to TT and deal with the consequences of my silliness. :P
Feel free to ask any more questions!
Good luck! :)

That's a nice guide! I'll keep it in mind if I take a hiatus

Thanks yall I really appreciate it :D

I've done it and it didn't work. I talked my villager out of moving, saved, went only two weeks ahead, and lost one of my fav villagers.

As was said, if you want to TT big chunks of time, all you have to do is wait for a day someone pings to move, stop them, and then you can jump time as far as you want without anyone moving out.
I've done what you're doing before when I was on hiatus and that's what I did - be warned of weeds and complaints from villagers though :p

Not true. Read my above post. I talked someone out of moving. I saved. I moved 2 weeks forward. Muffy was gone.
