What should I do ughhhh

Hello lovely people!! I find myself in a pickle

I really don't know what to do about my villagers, they're all in my signature and I am actually about to welcome Roald and bid farewell to Sally! As you can see I will still have six (SIX!!!!) normals in my island
I'm not really interested in lazy or sisterly villagers, but I would really love to have Diana, problem is that I don't know who should I leave behind!
Fauna is my queen and I know they're of the same species but I just can't get rid of Fauna (even if it will probably make the most sense)
Bea was one of my first villagers and I am just too attached to her
Lolly is the cutest and I love that Raymond has a cat friend

The ones I'm probably less attached to for the moment are Marina, Maple and Merengue (wow the alliteration), but I don't want to let them go either cause I just love the normal personality and I love their designs!

I'm also not so sure about Rolf but it doesn't really make sense to let go the only cranky I have does it? Ughhh I need eleven villagers!

oof i feel this - the normals are my favourite so i always end up with a bunch of them lmaoo. even though you like them, i’d recommend getting rid of one of the villagers that you’re not super attached to - that way you don’t have to give up any of the villagers that you like more and you’ll be able to get diana ;u;

I haven't looked into it much myself, but from what I understand all of the villagers also have sub-personalities (fitness, nature, etc.). Maybe you could figure out where there's an overlap there and let go of the normal villager that's too similar to another?

I think if it were me, I'd let at least 2 of the 3 you're not attached to go o: (maple, merengue, marina)
Or at least get rid of one of them, get Diana and then see how you feel ~

agreed on the sub personalities!

i find some solace in knowing i can always get them back if i let them go. i am usually ready once i get their picture if i feel the need to replace them, so waiting until then might be a good move. and, if you couldn't stand to let go of merengue once you get her pic, you'll know she's one you actually need to keep.

That said, it sounds like you like all your normal villagers more than Rolf (his hobby is fitness), so if you don't mind the repetitive dialogue, I would say keep the villagers you like over personalities. The only downside to not having certain personalities is some reactions and DIYs are tied to certain personalities.

Go with your gut/heart. Don't worry about having similar personality types or having only one of one type. Life's too short! Choose the villagers that make you happy regardless or anything else!

I remember in NL having to have a jock in my town for the PWPs and I don't like jocks. I picked the one I hated the least and had him in my town. I hated it.

Do any of the villagers you're considering giving up have the beginning villager basic house interiors? If any of them do, I'd prioritize moving them out so I can get a villager with their true house interior.

i agree with what @ amemome & @ pup said. if u have the picture of one of the villagers ur considering moving out then it would definitely be less painful, and if u have a villager with a "basic" house i would prioritize them, but it seems that out of those 6 Bea would have the basic house and u dont want to let her go.

based on what @ Etown20 said, if i were in ur shoes i would get rid of Marina (once u get her picture) because Lolly is already a Music subtype (i didnt know about subtypes!! pretty cool) and all the octopus villagers seem pretty easy to get if u ever want her back. and even if u choose a different villager, there r many ways u could get them back if u wanted to.

it stinks to lose a friend, but sometimes sacrifices must be made.
