I'm not sure what my theme for my town should be, since it's boring having a regular old town. So, please respond if you have other ideas or comments. Also, I would like to sort of base it off of the villagers I have.
Do you have any villagers in mind that you plan on replacing Jitters, Bunnie, and Rocket with?
From what I see, all of your villagers that you're keeping (except for Rosie and a splashes of color from Poppy) have a black/white scheme... I'd think something like a cute chess theme would be cool. Bicolored flowers and patterns~ (White and black roses would be so cool oh my goodness, along with modern PWP's or something? If not, then just any two colors that go with most of your villagers would be cool).
Or maybe something like the Queen of Heart's garden (villagers being the cards??? Not quite sure, but all the topiary/arch PWP's would be cool)
Not exactly sure what your interests are but perhaps making a list of them would help inspire you as well <: (shows you watch, books you've liked, etc.)
EDIT: I can't seem to vote in the poll for some reason, but I'd choose none of these since most of those have been wrung dry by the community.
Maybe some kind modern, high technology, space-like town? I don't know about the rest of the villagers, but I think Dotty's house would would fit that good, and Diana's look.
Looking at the choices you provided, quite a few of them have been done infinite times. If you want to be creative, I suggest one like the beach or artistic themes. Something people don't see everyday. As far as villagers, yours seem to be more of the fairy-pastel-cutesy type, though they would work well in pretty much any situation you give them that's not dark/creepy. (Okay, maybe Dotty would work out for dark/creepy, those eyes XD.)
Maybe look at your interests, hobbies, favorite TV shows/books/music. Ideas for a town as unique as yourself. Because with towns, the things that impress are either creativity, good landscaping, or both, and even then you still have to like it. You could do a story-type thing with it like the town that shall not be named. You could even divide it up and have different parts of town be different mini-themes that contribute to one general theme.
Yeah I know, I'm not really giving you any specific idea, I'm just giving you muses. Lol if you're looking for that type of thing ignore me.
Guys, I'm gonna do another poll like this (part two) based on final results later. That will make the true decision, but for now, can you guys suggest ideas and keep voting on what you think is best? (I put the multiple choice option, so you can vote more than once. But please don't just vote for things just because. I really want your opinion! )
the name of your town is really more suited towards a beach theme, but I'd argue you could go for an artsy style, perhaps something more with a lot of exquisiteness to it. Something like beige brick paths, a lotta gold...etc.
Forests are always awesome, but a beach theme would be more unique.
I've only seen one in a DA. The northern portion used cherry and lychee trees, red hibiscus, and red flowers while the southern part used yellow flowers, yellow hibiscus, lemon and durian trees.
