What names do you give your 2nd/3rd/4th character?

I only need the multiple characters for path storing. But what names do you give your other characters? I'm in a bit of a dilemma because I need to make another one for paths, but I don't know what to name them. So to get some ideas, what names do you choose?

For my second character of Hearts, I chose the name Paisley because I was really into that name when I created a second character.

I suggest you name them something that fits the theme of your town. For example, the town I'll be creating next is more creepy, and I'll be naming my characters Harley, Tate, Jayde, and Edgar. They all just kinda fit the "scary" theme to me.

Mine have the same name as my mayor... Look the same too because I don't wnt random characters in my town that I never really play.

My town is going to be forest-themed down the road, so I'm thinking my other characters will be named Aspen, Leaf, and Rosetta.

if you dont have a theme for your town, i usually just pick nice names that i like, like annabelle and nikki

i would definitely go for names that fit the general theme of your town. if it doesn't have a theme, pick ones that you like the sound of c: my main town is the only one with more than one character but it doesn't have any real sort of theme, so my second is called ivy because i love that name, and the third is my boyfriend.

I named my second one Allie after my best friend Alex. She runs a bed and breakfast in town. My third character I named Jared after another good friend who lived across the street from me for many years. I'm in the process of making his house themed after Vivaldi's Four Seasons. I've got winter, summer, autumn, and spring rooms.

My name is Devon, so my mayor's name is Devon c: (face included). My other characters' names are Miii, Mii, and Mi because they're all me :3

[Mayor Yosuke]

Well, my mayor is Yosuke (Yosuke Hanamura from Persona 4), because reasons. I initially started my 2nd character for path storage, so I just gave her my real first name: Melanie. I had no intention of doing much with her after I befriended Sable. Months later, I realized I needed MORE space, and created my 3rd character: Yu. Because Yosuke needed his best bro, Narukami.

At this point, I'd been well into town development and failed at keeping my 2nd character a simple bystander. I realized a 3rd character needed to fit into the "story" somehow --because I know the way I work. (My town coincides with my AC game theory --see link below.) So, I have Yu. He even has a backstory. --actually, all three do.

There's a cat tower in Yu's house, because when he was found in the Human world, he was outside crouched down around a kitten when the time distortion wave hit. He and the kitten were rescued.

Bonus: Whenever I have to plot reset, or get rid of a villager, I create a 4th character just for this purpose. Her name is Kei. ("Kay" is my middle name, but I prefer this spelling.) During the period when I was getting rid of Apollo, she gained an inevitable backstory. Kei is a Human who's taken on the job of doing the above mentioned tasks, and has not regained her emotions in order to do her job.

My second character's name is Lil bear and she wears the bear costume.

Second and third are Sven and Xepher, named after my OCs. I needed pattern and item storage so I figured I could base them off my OCs as well to make it more fun, also arranging the houses and the areas next to them in a way that fit the above charas. For example, Sven's house is surrounded by pink flowers and bushes because he loves pink.

I usually make my alt the opposite gender so if I am doing that I typically go with a name that I like, but I never name them after a person unless I was married I could see after a breakup that being not so cool anymore..if I go with a female or if I was a guy I guess I would do the same thing and chose a name of my gender that I didn't use for my main name if I didn't use my real one and have always liked or thought when I was younger that I wish I had had, or just think is pretty u Kaye or cool.

Well, I named my 2nd character Bellhop, 'cause I'm turning his house into a hotel (as soon as I finish paying off that ugly mortgage), and every hotel needs a trusty bellhop. And now I gotta custom make his uniform, since the one site that actually had it once got taken down. ):

OP, if you're gonna make a new character, you should give them a name that coincides with whatever theme your town is or what their house theme is gonna be or just whatever you like.

Thanks for the ideas! I went along with something that matches my town theme and a name I've liked, my town theme is nature-like. I'll keep this in mind when I make my 4th character.
