What manga do you like?

It's very lighthearted and more cheerful in the beginning, but as the manga progresses it significantly gets darker and darker. So you have to be pretty invested in it in order to reach the more darker themes. Looking back at the earlier parts of the manga it's somewhat nostalgic because things felt so much more simple and innocent. I wish you luck if you do end up reading it. It brought back a lot of repressed feelings in the past for me back to life, just the thought pattern of the main character in general were so relatable to my own in some ways.

Interesting. I'm gonna do it. I read the first chapter and this made me laugh so hard... omg. Screenshot_2016-05-03-22-30-00.jpg

if u change ur mind about punpun (it's a great manga but yyeah) i think u should read noragami but yyeahh

also u should check out the mangastorm app just saying

Oh and yeah talking about rec's I highly recommend anything by Jiro Matsumoto, especially Tropical Citron. it's has some ero-guro elements to it and lotsa nudity but if you can handle that it's awesome, I also love the art style!

Buy Solanin :D It's a great manga, and one of the Viz classics, meaning it's sold over 10 million copies worldwide. It's one of my favorites, and it's a single (big) book. Death note is also a good series to have, Gintama is beyond hilarious and One Punch Man is to die for.

a lot of you have basic tastes ; )

i recommend "Marmalade Boy" if you're into old 90s shoujo mangas
i also recommend "Yotsuba!" because it's cute as heck and you can't go wrong with it tbhhh
as for more mature mangas, if you're mature enough to handle blood and violence, then please buy "Battle Royale". it's basically a Hunger Games plot, but more evolved and lives up to it's violence. the art is weird to get used to, but it's a great manga and i recommend it fully. "Flowers of Evil" is also pretty good, but hard to get into if you're not into the psychological genre.

That one Solanin is a bit too 'hipster indie manga' for my taste but I love the drawing style, it's different. Gintama is overrated asf but fun imo.

And yeah I'd recommend Nana and Paradise Kiss if you want more mature content and great stories.

Nana still has not updated in years tho so don't invest in it if you're in for the long run
it has not updated in 7 years to be exact

Ah yes, I've read about half of Battle Royale while in Waterstones, and it was great! I really love manga like that haha
I'll definitely be checking some of these out, thank you!

I loved Nana... The author became ill. She may have died, actually, so I think it's done. I still think it was worth it.

I have a hardcore crush on Nana Oosaki, she's a lot like my boyfriend >.>

oh, its pretty good for anime and manga stuff

Cool, I should check it out :D

Also, I've read the first chapter of Goodnight / Oyasumi Punpun............hmmmMMmmm.....it's really weird, but I really like it....
I won't get it though; it'd be awkward if I ask to buy it and my mum reads the blurb....//cough

Yeah, and as I said how it "ended" or stopped there quite much made sense. Sure was.

Ah, I always like Reira/Layla for some reason because of her name origin x))

Other good manga, Pink and Helter Skelter by Kyoko Okazaki, really good josei stuff.

I read Pink and I liked it because of it's realistic ending since it was definitely unexpected

Still like Corpse Party, but that's personal, I'd give Watamote and Pet Girl of Saskuraou's a read if that's what you're looking for, they're very very good.
