what makes your dreamie a dreamie?

You all have your dreamies. What are the reasons why someone is your dreamie?
Just curious. I have Aurora as a dreamie because she was in my town for like 3 years at the older animal crossing. And she is adorable! (So glad to have her back )

Zucker and Rudy are probably two of my biggest dreamies.
Zucker because he is a takoyaki and I've always had a soft spot for Japanese "food" characters. I also find his face really adorable with the freckles and the way his eyes look like they're watering when he is upset.
hehe... Rudy because he looks like Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer and always has a huge smile on his face. I like all the cat villagers that I have but he's definitely my favourite.
Merengue wasn't initially a dreamie but since she was my starter I got to really like her over time... and again, she's a strawberry shortcake.
I love Punchy cause he's a lazy cat and he always look sleepy... 'nuff said.

Cats and Hamsters are my dreamies.
Seriously. I love cats in the real world (crazy cat lady) and I personally think the Hamsters are the all around cutest animals in the game. :3

But my main dreamie is Genji. Cute Japanese rabbit, omg. D:

My dreamie is Tabby, because I had her as an original villager in both Wild World and City Folk, and she's a tabby cat like all of my grandma's cats and my dad's old cat (it's a cat family)

Except for Julian. He's the only male in my town (≧ω≦)

Some of my reasons for dreamies?
- Interaction/Experience with them in game.
- The theme they are based on.
- Variety (cat, squirrel, sheep, etc).
- Appearance is tolerable (such as... Violet/Elise = NO , Paula/Diva = OK).

I enjoyed Colton, Papi, and Genji's company in my old town so I'm looking forward to getting them back. The rest are temporary dreamies until I actually interact with them in game, or, come across someone else (who shares the same personality) taking their spot.

Bob was my dreamie because he was in my first ever AC town GAMECUBE town. LOL Plus, purple, which I love, and he's just freaking adorable. A lovely person gave him to me and I couldn't be happier. I bug the crud out of him on a daily basis. BUDS. <3

Me and Kid Cat are always defending Canberra from the evil Julian and his puny sidekick Marshal.

Kiki and Ribbot were my main two dreamies upon starting the game because they have been in all my towns since GameCube and it's just not Animal Crossing for me without those two. <3

I have two others that I would like at some point, Stitches and Octavian, because I want their pictures and liked them a lot in WW/CF.

My other dreamies (Merengue, Blanche, Skye) became dreamies after moving in randomly and me falling in love with them.

Some people I just like for nostalgia's sake (like Bunnie and Francine and Marina), but recently I've really been wanting to just experience some new loves. I'm new to this site, before I've always just played animal crossing... on my own, not striving too terribly hard for anything, but enjoying it. Now, people here have opened my eyes to things I never thought about like... having an entire furniture set and striving for certain villagers. So I'm still learning, still developing opinions, but for now most of my dreamies are entirely based out of appearance.

Olivia was in my town for like a week, then just mysteriously disappeared. I was just getting to know her and then she just LEFT, no goodbye or warning. I miss her and I want her back I was living in the future at that time and even celebrated her birthday with her. She was just this mysterious, fun "show up, party, and DISAPPEAR" little nugget and I want her back! lol

Everyone else I just saw them in pics and was like... AW I WANT
