Posting this because I quite enjoyed Beauty and the Beast ^^ I felt it showed more of the Beast through his song Evermore. I also found the acting charming. I thought it was done well o3o

I would really enjoy a live-action Tangled, I think that could be really cute. And if they're going to make one I hope they cast the voice actors for Rapunzel and Finn -I think they're both good looking and fit the characters appearance.

I know Mulan is coming out, and I'm very excited for it! There was drama over them whitewashing the cast but thankfully they said they're not going to now that people got so po'd about it lol.

But what would you guys want Disney to make a live-action film?

Also! Do you think live-actions take away a part of the magic of Disney or do you think it adds to it?

also also: don't know if this is a post already, sorry if it is!

Tangled and The Little Mermaid sounds great (although i feel The Little Mermaid was already done lmao)

I think there's an Ariel movie coming out but it's more based on the original fairytale I think? I think she's in some traveling carnival or something lol

Has sleeping beauty been done yet? I;m so behind on Disney stuff it's ridiculous.

I don't think it's been done yet! But that would be a good one. What actresses/actors would you want to play the characters ^^?

I want a Maleficent-esque film about Ursula.

Based on the fact that Ursula was based off of a famous drag queen, would you want her played by a drag queen :)? jw

It would be very interesting, too. Backstory on villains really adds depth to stories!

Possibly. Divine, the drag legend who inspired Ursula's design, was a very special kind of drag. Drag before drag existed, possibly.

If it were a drag queen, I wouldn't want them to be the thin, contour-obsessed kind of drag queens you see today. Divine was classic and unapologetic about her appearance. I'd imagine it'd be very difficult to accomplish that with someone now, and her voice was something particularly unique, something only a woman (or Divine) could pull off, I feel.

Ursula's voice actress, Pat Carroll, can still pull off Ursula's voice pretty well. No reason why she couldn't still dub a model.

The Little Mermaid.

I've only watched one live action version so far (The Jungle Book) and it was more because I was interested in how well they could pull it off.

I don't know but definitely not Big Hero 6 or Inside Out. That would be creepy.

seeing other people posts, perhaps little mernaid, or pinnochio. i would like to see an underwater movie with mermaids and an awesome underwater castle. i hope the mermaids would be pretty like the mermaids from Hook with Robin Williams. and seeing a wooden puppet would be pretty cool.
already seen a live action of cinderella although different versions.

but if they had live version of Atlantis (and not whitewash the atlantians + other poc characters), id be yelling and running to the nearest movie theatre with money in my hand.

i wasnt really impressed by beauty and the beast overall, it was very pretty with the sparkling and the gold but that was about it that was memorable. emma watsons's acting was very... eh. it just felt like hermione with her same british accent being in a french princess school play. beast was pretty cool though.

I don't see the point of making even live-action Disney movies. I wish they could just stop. I want adaptations that add something to the story, like Maleficent and Mirror Mirror did. If these are the types of adaptations you mean I want one for pretty much every Disney movie out there! But Cinderella and Beauty and the Beast were terrible, in my opinion. They added nothing to the story, you pretty much payed to see pretty visuals only.

The Emperor's New Groove! I'm curious how they would be able to pull off Kuzco's sass and Kronk's 10 year old child stuffed into an Olympic weightlifter's body act.

none. they need to crawl back to where they came from.

but if they are making more... mulan and the little mermaid have potential

ive seen the jungle book and it's definitely not bad, but it doesn't beat the 1968 version. i hated beauty and the beast, i wanted G A Y but all i got was two guys bumping into each other and staring for less than a second at the end. then again i left for a good 30-40 minutes of the film.

i dont like lve action remakes of animated movies tbh it just feels weird. i like disney's animated stuff a lot more than their live action things tbh. but!! if it was very well made i'd love to see mulan made as live action thats b Cool

As one of the few upcoming Disney adaptations that actually holds a confirmed release date, hopes are high that Mulan will match the dizzying heights of the original. Elizabeth Martin and Lauren Hynek's live-action script is currently undergoing a rewrite from Rick Jaffa and Amanda Silver (War of the Planet of the Apes), but the one aspect of development that everyone's talking about most is the potential casting.

Rumors of a white lead actor caused outrage among advocates of the #whitewashedOUT movement; fortunately, it looks like Disney are set to use an Asian cast that will remain true to the story's origins. If they pull it off, Disney's live action Mulan could provide young Asian girls everywhere with the chance to finally see their own reflection on the big screen, all while simultaneously exploring trans issues too. It's just a shame that there will be no songs...
