What kind of themed islands do you predict will be popular in the Dream Suite?

Of course I think the overwhelming majority is going to be cottagecore, followed by some sort of japanese/asian theme (either a more natural town or city or both). So many people are now doing the "messy" asian market place stuff, and I think we are going to see a lot of that in dream addresses.

Personally I am looking forward to visiting some really wild places with crazy terraforming or pathing. I use to love seeing those "ice palace towns" in New Leaf because although I would never ever do something like that in my own town, it was super fun to walk around in and admire the creator's creativity!

BUt, also, people tend to go wild for pics with lots of Celeste furniture, lots of moon chairs and star fragments scattered about.

IDK how popular my rustic, simple, vintage inspired AC island will be... but some visitors have said it's pretty ☺

If we do get a Dream Suite I plan to use WAY more. As in... actually use it I need inspiration way more in this game than ACNL!

A lot of seasonal themed islands, especially with all of the seasonal events and sets we have and will be seeing. At least one really popular mermaid one with all the different shell and mermaid stuff.
Iirc, did the NL dream suite lock the layout of the town to the season you uploaded it, or did it change? Like if you upload on a day with snow on the ground, would your dream town always be snowy?

In New Leaf, yes. It is locked to that season you uploaded it. That's why we're seeing a lot of towns (for example) locked to Spring/"Cherry blossom" season.

it's kinda all mentioned here now so, let me just add that horror & maze (puzzle involved) islands are definitely gonna be popular because of word of mouth. let's be real, cottagecore/fairycore/those urban tokyo streets that are in rn/natural japanese themed etc will be popular too, that is given. but it'll be like the new leaf pastel towns where people would barely see the difference. it'll be more like a grouped type of thing. would be cool to get inspirations if you're working on a similar theme or wanting to try new themes. however, horror & puzzle islands would get people more curious about those specific islands and visit them.

That's exactly what I was remembering. I'm sure we'll see a lot of that again.
