What kind of flower theme do you use?

Do you tend to stick to a basic colour theme and use different flowers in the colour scene throughout town? Or stick to certain breeds of flower? Or do you aim to use all flowers and colours?

Not really sure how to go about this now I've finally got all hybrid types and just have to work on breeding more! Was going to try and use all flowers and no colour scheme but I'm getting worried it will end up looking messy... so far I've been trying to pick flowers in colours that will go well with each area, and pick two or so different types of flower that I think look good together.

Also how do you guys feel about having different types of flowers next to eachother? I used to not do it but have seen it done a lot in dream towns and it can look really pretty... just a bit worried that it's not looking so good in my town haha!

So yeah, just looking to find out how other people go about placing different types and colours of flowers around town - any help is really appreciated so thank you in advance :D

Well in my first town I used mainly every flower except pansies (not a fan of them)
But in my winter town, I will mainly be using only White carnations and Blue Violets

In my town I use pink red white roses tulips and carnations

Baker uses mostly roses, violets, and lilies (those only along water, though). They're put where they make sense, or in the case of roses along paths. For colour purposes, I like having roses of a transition colour between different colours--e.g., I have red transition into pink which transitions into white, or white-purple-blue. I think it looks nice~

I just put whatever looks good.

This is a cool topic!

Personally, I wanted a variety of flowers in my first town, so I made different flower designs based on what goes good where. Like, I pick about 3-4 different flowers that look good together plus match whatever they're close to (villager houses, PWPs, etc.) I don't think it looks messy as long as the transition from pattern to pattern goes nicely! So I like to mix both different colors and different flower types! It's kind of trial and error since not all types/colors look best next to each other.

But I will say I think towns that stick to a certain flower color scheme are really gorgeous too! Which I might do for my second town. I think it all depends on how strong your concept for the town is? Like some dream towns to stick to a pretty simple color scheme and it looks great!

I just used what I had. Basically I have sections of red, Orange, Yellow, Purple, and soon I'll have a pink section, and maybe a bit of blue and black in some places.

Im still deciding what flowers to use, but i like having a few coordinating types and sticking to them for the whole town. Im leaning towards jacobs ladders, white lillies, and white carnations but im unsure. But i also like having certain types for other special areas, like im planning on making a little garden area with red carnations!

My town has pmuch every flower you can think of with a few specific groupings:

Purple Lilies, Violets, and White Pansies: I have 3 groups of these. One for my home, a bunch by Lucha's home, and some across from Lobo's home. They're my favorite flowers, so I reserve my groups of them for special areas. Given that Lucha and Lobo are two of my favorites and are both more isolated, they earned my purple pretties~

Blue Flowers of any kind: Rosie's plot actually allowed a fair bit of space, so she got all of my hybrid blue flowers because they match her

Carnations: I bred a few. They're grouped in front of my bell~

Jacob's Ladders: These are scattered, but they also get placed by favored villagers or in my flower bed. Wherever they are, they're usually featured.

White flowers: While most are mixed in, every villager in my town has at least 2 white flowers in front of their home. The only exceptions to this rule are Rosie because of her blue flowers, Lucha with my violets, and Ankha because I gave her yellow flowers. But every plot I get automatically gets two matching white flowers placed in front of them~

My town is covered with flowers to the point where you kinda can't run. My event plaza's surrounded. The entire southern half is filled. Every PWP and general landmark is surrounded by flowers. My fruit trees are also useless now because they're surrounded by flowers as well. I no longer need the money rock or bees, so all my rocks and trees are pmuch surrounded by flowers.

And then I have like this one skinny path going through them and tbh the flowers just make that simple path look hella nice.

I could organize and breed them but I...honestly have something against going crazy and color coding all my flowers. It doesn't feel natural. No offense to anyone who does. It looks pretty! But it strikes me as just...idk too organized I guess? Like if I'm in a field of flowers chances are I'm gonna see a buncha different flowers. So I like having all different colors and types because it shows Loki's natural side.

Don't get me wrong, I'm no tree-hugger xD but I do appreciate my greenery and I try to keep my village a bit more on the green side of things.

my flowers aren't currently 100% laid out yet so it's mostly random. i'm definitely the type that likes the white/pink flower scheme though, whatever type of flowers they are. i prefer cosmos, lilies, and roses above the rest though. i also like carnations but i don't have many, and i don't particularly feel like breeding them. for some reason i feel like they wouldn't really match my town.

I just go with whatever works for me. I like to use White carnations and orange roses as well as sweet olive bushes because it looks nice. Tulips of any colour works because it's just vibrant. If you need help, try checking out some dream addresses for inspiration. Take a visit to these two dreams. I absolutely love the flowers!

I have nearly every single hybrid color of every flower in my town, the only ones I don't have are colors I don't like

In my first town that's complete, I mainly stuck to roses throughout. Roses in a colour sequence are what I used most, along pathways and to fill in any spare gaps. My favourite area is where I used the roses in a rainbow pattern to cover the campsite and hot spring. I like roses (:

In my second town, all my flowers are pink and white only. I always wanted to do that. So I bred all the pink flowers on the beach, to keep them in one area, and distribute them throughout my town. Its still a major WIP, but I'm happy how its turning out.

I put yellow flowers around Graham's house and around Skye's I use blue and white pansies. They really remind me of clouds.

I am planning for some pink flowers for Freya and possibly some white roses but I dunno.

I do all kinds of mixes. I like to place flowers around the villagers houses, and match their flowers with the house colors. I do the same with the character houses. My farm town has areas that are just a mix of everything. It looks really pretty. My Rainbow Brite house has a rainbow of roses around it.Theres really no wrong way to do it. I change them around until I get the look I want.

I started off with just white roses and was breeding those to create purple ones. I like how the purple and white look together, but when I think in advance I want to go for more of a zen vibe. I'll still use the white flowers, but I'm still trying to decide if I want to use another apart from greenery (bushes, clovers). Perhaps black?

I've never done much to organise my flowers. My bamboo walkway is strewn with purple violets but the rest of the town is a sneeze of colour and type. I call it the "illuminated manuscript" look.

I'm currently using white, red, and black roses with a few Jacob's Ladders scattered in there. I think I'm going to do my beach in white lilies, however.

I'm also currently mapping clover/holly bush paths.
