What job(s) have you had?

I've worked in retail at a major electronics store for 8 years. Starting out I was in sales, but I generally hate it and am now in the warehouse/merchandising aspect of it. I feel most accomplished at the end of the day when I've done physical labor so it works for me. It does get pretty menial and repetitive, however, and most days are pretty miserable.

My true passion is filmmaking and luckily over the past year my retail job has been able to work with me as far as getting a small leave of absence so I can work on films in town. Eventually I'd like to be able to support myself just on that. The position I'm in is called a grip and two of the films I've worked on will be coming out next year. It's an exciting thought. :)

There aren't any jobs I actually enjoyed, up until now.

2012-2014 I worked at a party store. It was anything BUT a party. The customers were so rude, I wouldn't know where to start. Basically they would lie on you just to get free things/discounts, and the guys up at corporate would believe a lying, thieving piece of trash customer, rather than the employees. My first week on the job; a total nightmare. I've been screamed at by multiple jobless, clueless, idiotic housewives, shopping for party supplies for their spoiled and rather useless offspring. Customers would throw things at you, threaten to kill you, destroy the store, just to get some friggin' tinker bell invitations. Eventually I quit and found what I thought, was a "better" job. Thankfully my coworkers and bosses were all great people to work with, and I got my little brother to work with me, just for the Halloween season though.

After that job, I worked at a temp agency, hiring people. The company was located in a huge building, shared by lots of other private companies, and mainly lawyer/public defenders. I thought the job was great, but after 4 months, I hated it. Every other person I tried to hire, could not pass a drug test to save their life... Nearly everyone was lazy, no one wanted to work, and the people I did hire, I had to fire them not even a few days later. On top of that, no one turned in their time cards, and the guys up at the corporate office were griping at me.
On top of THAT, all the felons and creeps out on bail, who were visiting the lawyer offices past my office, all came in to creep on me. Eventually I bought a stungun, and yes, I've had to use it on people.
I quit that job... Thank God e_e

My job now, I'm a pharmacy technician, and I love it. Though I still come across grumpy people addicted to narcotics, I still love my job. You learn something new everyday, and I work with the greatest people ever. AND I DON'T NEED TO USE MY STUNGUN ON ANYONE, HAHA!!

Coming the end of the year, I want to join the USA Air Force and either work in IT, or become a dentist.

- 2012/13, worked as a full-time care assistant in a nursing home on my gap year (a year out between high school and university). It was physically and mentally draining, but at the same time a barrel of laughs.

- During my summer break both last year and this year, I worked as an examinations marker. Very boring but extremely well paid.

Those are my only two as I'm a medical student with no free time during term time.

I have been a dogsitter, worked in two different hotels (as a housekeeper and waitress), a super market, at one event where I made handicrafts with children and my latest job was working in amusement park.

Chuck E. Cheese (This was SO fun, but I was too sick to keep up with all the kids.)
Pizza Delivery
Customer Care Call Center
Now I travel to conventions and sell my art.

I also temporarily worked at a nursing home when I was working on my CNA (which i never got oops.)

Where do I begin?
From ages 13-16 I was a babysitter. Babysat the same girl every week for 5 years (14-19)
Got my first "real" job at JC Penney's at 16 as a seasonal associate.
Not too long after I left JCP, I ended up at The Children's Place in a mall for 2 years.
I got another job at a Military contractor as a paid intern for 2 years. this one overlapped with the TCP job for about a year.
After leaving the military contractor job because of being a full time (and stressed) student, I got a job back at the same mall as TCP, but this time it was at Bath and Body Works. The most awful job i've ever had! My manager was a power-trip d*** and we never got our law-mandated breaks. He treated me and my coworkers like crap and after I severely hurt my back after doing shipment for a couple months in a row, he cut my hours to 5 hours a week because I was in physical Therapy. I left that place faster than you can say supercalifragilisticexpialadocious. I then went a couple months of being job-less while applying EVERYWHERE just to have some sort of income.
I got a call back for a job at the Aquarium I applied for back in January. I'm still here to this day and absolutely LOVE IT. It's the best job i've ever had.

I used to work at a dollar store, and I didn't mind it, but because it was a new store it took forever to actually start working. So I started working in January of this year and got laid off in mid april. I'm now working at the movie theatres and I really enjoy it. :3

I currently volunteer at a rescue place for rabbits and guinea pigs.

I clean out the hutches and pens, but also groom the rabbits. I love it there!

Edit: Loving the amount of animal lovers here :)

Oh yeah it's an Animal Crossing forum

1. Barista at Starbucks-type coffee shop...it was pretty good, but 6am shifts are the worst.

2. Financial Assistant-helped out with data entry, excel, word, etc. Boring, but easy summer job.

3. Summer Camp Leader-worked at a kids camp with kids ages 5-11. Super fun, but exhausting. Overall though a great job.

4. After-Care Assistant-worked for the same place that I was the camp leader. Kids aged 5-11, but mostly different kids...did crafts, stuff like that. It was about 25 hours per week while going to school full time...safe to say I was very busy, but it was a good job too.

5. Barista/Cashier-Bakery/coffee shop...pretty good, but with a horrible horrible boss....40-55 hours/week but was told it was "part-time"...

6. Independent! I work for myself running my little online store. More time-consuming than I thought it would be, but I love it. (:
