I am so boring when it comes to groceries. Apples, oranges, avocados, beans, rice, cereal, almond milk, yogurt, tofurkey slices, whole wheat bread, etc.
if I go to the mall I will always buy pad thai in the food court. 100% of the time, doesn't matter what I came for.
also I'm incapable of driving by a Tims without stopping to get a coffee/french vanilla/donut/whatever. sometimes I'll go numerous times a day if I'm in the city just because I'm driving by (there are none in my neighborhood so I guess that's why, I get it when I can).

I think pretty much all grocery shopping lists are boring just by virtue of being... grocery lists, ykwim? If you're shopping for a party or just going on a snack run it's one thing, but buying food for the household is never all that interesting, even if you try to mix it up once in a while. At least on my end, it tends to be the same kinds of things over and over again. Not very exciting, but I'd rather be boring than starving ;P
I usually just get what I want to cook for the day.
Goals: Buy noodles and chicken for Alfredo.
While at the grocery store:
"Wow those peaches look delicious. I should get 2"
"Oh I'm craving cheesecake. Let me just get this small pie"
"Hmm. Maybe I should get ice cream too. I don't have this flavor."
"Oh I ran out of juice. I should try this one, and this one...oh and this one!"
Frozen pizza. I eat so much of it that I always need to grab a few more when I go grocery shopping. I often need crackers, too, but not every time I shop.
