Good evening, everyone! We have an egg hunt announcement! An additional clue for egg #21 will be posted Monday at 6 PM EDT if it hasn't been found by then. The egg hunt will also be extended until Tuesday morning at 10 AM EDT.
I like paths (and make patterns for them) but I hate how you can't put them right up to houses and stuff. I especially dislike how they can't go in the square just before and after bridges...

I also make several version of my paths for each season so they always blend in properly.
I use paths that match the default cobblestone. I'd say under a quarter of my town has any sort of path on it. I like other kinds of paths and the towns that use them, but I find that you have to really strictly develop your town in order to make those paths look good. If there was a residential zoning feature, I'd love to deck out my town with more and different kinds of paths, but with the game as it is, plot-resetting is just too stressful. The default-lookalikes give the town a less urban feel, so I don't feel compelled to make streets that require intensive plot-resetting and PWP-placement for villagers to land their houses on. A sprawling, "unplanned" town of cobblestone and natural grass (not custom grass patterns) is less of an eyesore than a sprawling, "unplanned" town of sophisticated pavement and/or custom grass.
In short, I like paths but don't use them much because the game is such a butt about plotting and planning.
I have fake-dirt paths in my town; they look alright, I guess, but I'm not the best at laying paths in a logical way.
I really like paths! They look nice when done right.
i love qr paths, it makes my town seem so organized, and my current paths are really pretty. not having paths seems so hard! i would run over flowers and never know where to go lol
I use paths because I wanted to put trees, flowers and bushes all over my town, and I needed to use paths so I didn't have to run over any flowers. I would use dirt paths, but I don't have the patience to wait for the grass to erode.
In my old town, I used a cute pink brick QR code but for my new town, I think I'm going to tackle the natural paths made by grass deterioration. I LOVE the way they look with bushes outlining them.
I have paths! They were a hassle to make but it was very worth it!
I use them so I don't get lost in my town or step on flowers accidentally.
It's a lot more efficient for me cause I can run and get to where I'm going without confusion
Also, I think they add a little personality to a town~
If I had the effort to I would make dirt paths but to be honest AIN'T NOBODY GOT TIME FOR THAT! Well, not me anyways. But I love paths, I usually download them but there is always SOMETHING wrong so I need to just nut up and make my own, cause I want a cute two thick path with a one thick option for tight spots that I still want a path... But for my dream path I would need... 19 pieces... SO MANY PIECES! SO MANY SLOTS TO PUT THEM IN!
I always try to place path down in my town but I always have trouble deciding where.. nevertheless I do like paths because they make a town look much neater and more organised. Right now, I'm trying to collect lots and lots of clovers to try and pull of a natural theme. ))
paths are really neat! but I won't ever have 'em. I made crummy paths in City Folk, but I ended up just going around freely regardless most of the time. also they're annoying to set up, and since I like keeping villagers random, if they move on paths, then it was only even more of a waste of time. so nah.
I walk around a lot of the time anymore, and don't have flowers everywhere, so being without them isn't really a problem.
I like realistic-looking paths, like red or white bricks, or none at all. I don't like a lot of different designs all together because they usually look tacky. I put down a path once, but I erased it within a week. I have a full town (2 characters, 10 villagers, lots of trees, and several permanent PWPs), and it's hard to place a path with everything I own. But it's okay because I really like my simplistic town.
