I’m currently on vacation in Disney world and I love it always fun to do practically anything because there is so much to do but what is your ideal vacation

I would enjoy any new experience. I seriously don’t understand how people go their whole lives without leaving their hometown, or even if they do, they don’t leave the state. I want to experience the things you just read about in books, or see the places you watch on television. I think experiencing a new place would be just perfect for me. Especially being born up north, you really don’t get to see much. Nobody takes a vacation to Pennsylvania, obviously. At least, not on a regular basis. You’re much more likely to hear taking a trip to the beach or to a resort. My ideal location is a tropical climate. I love year-round heat.

Sorry for my mini rant. I’m just passionate about traveling. Yet, I never left the United States. What is wrong with me?

i'm currently on a mini-vacation in the city closest to me. I found a very basic hotel that's decent enough to sleep in for 3 nights before I staycation at home the rest of the time off from work. However, this was more for just a quick change of scenery to reset a bit. My ideal vacation really just depends on what I've gone through lol. Like if i'm looking to really relax then I'm going to the beach because it's my happy place. If i'm looking to disconnect i'm going to the PNW to whale watch and be with nature. If I'm looking for fun then I'm going to a city like NYC or Vegas. If i'm looking for something new then I'm going out of the country.

However for the most part, it seems i can never go wrong with a beach vacation. The ocean makes everything better.

There would be a good mix of mountain and sea. There would be many options for really good food! And it would never be too hot or too cold.

If there are a lot of places to sit and rest, or sit and eat/people-watch, that would also be great.

My boyfriend and I have done a few longer vacations where we visit a bunch of Japanese cities, and I'm definitely looking forward to the next one. I still have to figure out how to not get too worn out, though - we walked 20k steps most days last time, and honestly, I got sort of crabby from needing a break after a while.

somewhere with a lot of natural beauty, hopefully by the sea... somewhere i can look at wildlife and swim and hike, basically, haha. i'd love to visit ireland and scotland someday, as well as hawaii; just would want to make sure it was away from all the hustle of the tourist-y spots. i

it's *extremely* touristy and no longer very natural, but i'd like to go back to the outer banks sometime soon, like hatteras island would be great. my parents lived there before i was born, and i went there for my mother-in-law's 60th birthday and it was just beautiful down there. gotta get back to the beach soon 😭

A vacation for me needs to be lax and not have any strict itinerary. I hate going on vacation with people who are like "We'll wake up at 6, get breakfast, visit the museum, go for a hike at 2, catch a bus, go out for dinner and drinks at 5". Nah...please stop. Lol.

I usually prefer a quiet place away from other people...but I also love things like music festivals. Just spending 3 days at a music festival...getting a little drunk and a little stoned...good music, good people...chilling. That's about as good as it gets for me. If you can find a music festival with a nice setting like a beach, or one that is way up in the mountains...that's even better. I like the ones where you can walk away from the action and effectively chill on your own.

Also, I have no love for resorts. If I was ever going to a foreign place, I would want to experience the actual culture at the ground level. Resorts are literally all the same. I never understood the kind of people who enjoy sitting by a pool with a backdrop of manmade white sand beaches, while the actual island has rainforests and volcanos and island culture, etc. That was always a "huh?" moment for me. I want to buy fresh mangos from the mango cart, eat where the locals eat, check out lesser traveled landmarks, etc. I can sit by a pool literally anywhere.

oooohh the adirondacks! I always forget about the Adirondacks. I need to go there sometime! Have you been there? What's your favorite part?

Yes, I live about an hour away, and my older brother lives there :) It's beautiful up there, I wish I lived there. It's so peaceful. I remember going there as a kid and having campfires, roasting marshmallows, swimming in the lake. And in the winter sledding and snowboarding :) There's a lake called lake Desolation that's really nice

Just something with a lot of nature and good food to enjoy. Could be mountains with hiking, could be close to the ocean with diving, natural landmarks/parks, and so forth.

I'd love to take a low key vacation with a lot of relaxation, good food, and maybe some markets to see. My husband and I have never actually gotten to just take a vacation for just us. The plan was to do so after graduating but the pandemic kinda cancelled that. Even now, we'll be taking a trip soon but because we haven't been able to see family in so long - it'll be another trip for family first.

But maybe at the end of this year; it'll be our time lol. :)

Ideally it would be a different country lol, I'm not too interested in staying in England for a holiday. The times I went to France and the Netherlands have been some of my favourite vacations. Even driving to Scotland or Wales is more appealing to me than just staying in England lol.

I'm not too picky about the location in these countries though, as long as it's not the beach (sitting on the sand all day sounds like a nightmare holiday). I'm happy both in the countryside and also in the city. If I'm in the country, I don't want to be too far from any shops or restaurants though.

I'm hoping I might be able to go to Edinburgh for a holiday this year, I've always really wanted to visit since it looks like such a beautiful city, and my family's close to being fully vaccinated ☺

Well I've already been to Hawaii, and I would definitely go back. But I would like a vacation somewhere else first.

Most likely a foreign country. Japan has always been up there as one of my most wanted places to visit.

I always wanted to visit London. There's this restaurant that deep fries a block of cheese and put it on a sandwich. I'm currently dying to try it.

I live somewhere that it's always disgustingly humid and hot so I love traveling places where its cooler and something different than the beach.

I live in Florida , so it’s always sunny with a dash of humidity or rain.

My dream vacation is something different. Maybe a cold environment that’s not humid. I’ve been to Pennsylvanian and it was snowing then. That was nice.

not to give Pennsylvania credit for anything, but there is surprisingly plenty to do here for tourism & vacation purposes if you pick the right part of the state ;P

as for me, my ideal vacation is either somewhere with a good amusement park or somewhere with a good shopping scene. i visit a friend out-of-state each year if the circumstances allow it & they’ve got both an excellent mall & a lot of good stores scattered about the area that we like to visit and explore, and that’s good enough for me. also i can’t stand the heat & malls tend to be air conditioned, so.

Oh, I love Disney World! Good for you!

Although a bit trite, I have to admit that, for me, nothing beats the beach.

the first thing that comes to mind as a nice vacation would probably be staying at a warm, cozy cabin in the snowy woods with one or two people i love and cherish. we could play in the snow, make snowmen and snow forts and have snowball fights, then when we get cold we can be cozy by the fire, maybe make some warm food and listen to some music. maybe dance a little then cuddle to sleep... (ू˃︿˂ ू)

woops, got a little cheesy there, hahaha. i'd also like to be able to visit another country since i never have before. maybe france? ireland?
