What is your favorite kind of tea?

Right now my fave is green tea, but I will be trying Matcha soon. I also like hot thai tea but I still need to purchase some to brew at home.

You should try it! For matcha I recommend using DoMatcha's organic ceremonial matcha! It's a bit pricey, but I tried it and it's soooo worth it.

Or you can use the non organic kind which is cheaper

I have never been able to make matcha drinkable, I've tried it so many ways but the only way I like it is in a milkshake with vanilla ice cream, I wanted to try a hot cup and have tried a few suggested ways but haven't liked it yet. How do you make yours?

Well, I haven't made it in like a long time because when my grandma got it for me it was like last spring, but here's how it would usually go:

I'd start boiling some water over the stove, and then after it's done boiling, i open the lid to the tea pot and then let it cool for about 5 mins because if its like freshly boiling it'll destroy the antioxidants and stuff. While I'm waiting I get a bowl and then start getting like 1-2 tbsp (depends if i want a lot or a bit less that day), and then start sifting it. Then pour the water over it, and not a lot of water, maybe like 100ml of water? And then I start mixing it with the bamboo whisk. Like maybe for 3 minutes or until it's super bubbly and it has an intense earthy smell AAHHHHHHHH, and then I just go and listen to some traditional japanese music and then start sipping on it, haha, the green just looks sooo good.

That's how I do it, lol. I don't put in any sugar, but my grandma likes to put in a little bit of Canadian white honey, just to sweeten the flavor because yeah it is really bitter.

I'll be trying the tea bags that were gifted to me for now. I can't remember what brand it is, but its one of the cheaper ones. I'm glad to see others recommending it. I can't go super fancy right now but if I like it, I may go with a more expensive brand later.

I'm more of a coffee drinker so I don't really have a favourite type of tea, I do have a favourite way of making it though. With lots of milk and sugar. Can also tell you what teas I really don't like ;) not so long ago somebody from work was bringing in these different fancy herbal teas....ever tried nettle tea before? I did. Never again ;)

Cold mint tea seems to be the only kind I've enjoyed so far, as well as warm chai. I'd love some tea recommendations, if anyone has any you can VM or PM me. I'm trying to drink more of it. I prefer tea that I can enjoy cold or frozen, if it exists ^^;

I had really good boba tea once with chai, it was nice and cold and AMAZING but sadly I'm lactose intolerant

I like most varieties of green tea, including matcha. The one kind I hate is genmaicha. It's basically green tea mixed with roasted brown rice. I hate it because if you imagine the old people smell but somehow convert it into a flavor, that's what genmaicha tastes like to me. It tastes like old people smell.

My favourite is defintely Earl Grey; but I also like green tea with lemon and Starbucks hibiscus blend
