i personally love any from 5-9am, and 11-1am. the midday and wee hour osts are not my favorite. but to make things more interesting, if i had to choose one specific hour, i would go with 11pm, because it sounds exactly like winding down from a long day and saying goodnight. how about you guys?

5AM. reminds me of NL's soundtrack, which i adore, and i genuinely can't separate any of the others in NH; they all sound too similar to me. not to be a negative nancy, but i don't particularly like most of them either, and they don't really... sound like animal crossing songs to me? partly because they're missing the glockenspiel (i think) that was often used in hourly themes for past games, but also the vibe is just off imo. that's largely why i play with the sound off. (the other reason is because of the disparity in volume when you stand even remotely near a waterfall.)

I can easily guess the NL ones but NH is just sadder 5AM does have good vibes!

i really like the 3am music. i can't quite describe it, but i just vibe with that weird, semi awkward 'the feck are you doin up at this hour' feel. lol
6pm. 5am is really good too. I hope acoustic guitar or some other string instrument makes it into the next game. I prefer those over piano. NL has too much piano imo. NH does have a problem with hasty? Sounding music that seems loud. I think it is the 8 am one that would be an example of this if I remember right.

lol i dont even have a favourite they're n to that memorable tbh. often i'd just listen to songs or podcasts when i play acnh. if I'm not, I'm too focused on my gameplay that i don't even notice the music.
When I first started playing, I didn't even know how to time travel, so I was always playing in real time and would play every morning in the 7 am hour while drinking my morning coffee (which is nowhere near as fancy as Brewster's brews). So, the 7am music just sounds like ACNH to me. When I hear it, it brings back the memories of being new to the game. But my favorite music might be the 6pm hour, which is sort of mellow early evening wind down music. And 10 and 11 pm are also nice in that way. I'm not a big fan of 2pm but most of the other hours are okay.
I also don't love 8am or 9am--they're okay but not favorites. I just like 7am better. And 6am. But the late sleeping villagers aren't up early enough, even with the early bird ordinance (which just wakes them about an hour earlier than normal). Since I love cranky, snooty, and sisterly villagers, I usually end up time traveling so I can give them gifts.
I think the music to the game overall is pretty great, including hourly tracks and KK Slider's stuff. Good job, composer and musicians!
