Mine would have to be the fact that I'm the mayor of a town full of cute little animals :D I would love to be the mayor of a town full of cute talking animals in real life (wouldn't everyone?). I also like the dialogue between villagers, and the fact that keeping them around requires talking to them and doing a few nice things here and there for them. I also like the occasional in game life lesson, like "don't spread rumors."

The therapeutic effect of the game! Which includes the cute villagers and how sweet they are.

A place where life is simple.

And I also love the periodic "life lessons"!

I'm kinda addicted to landscaping... which is kinda bad. I've been cycling out villagers for a week now just to put my dreamies in their right place, and that's just one of my towns... at least I'm up to the 14th. 2 more to go!

That aside, I like designing and dress up, as hopeless as I am at creating custom designs ^ q ^

I'm beyond addicted to landscaping! I have almost no free space left in my town because I've landscaped it so much xD Feel free to check my dream address out if you're curious. I also love creating custom designs! :D I even have a thread in able sisters lol

Ooo, I"m going to visit your DA. I am just starting to learn to landscape so I'm sure it will be inspirational.

I kind of overwhelmed myself because I got extra towns before I was even done with my first one, so it never got completed as far the landscape goes. I"m still thinking about how I want to do it. It is kind of daunting because I barely have a plan and there is so much open space.

Part of the problem was I got so obsessed with villagers and populating the towns and finding the right villagers that it has taken up all my time.

I LOVE custom designs and using them as wallpaper/paths/clothing, and I don't do it nearly enough.

!!!!!! I took a look and I just adore your town ahhhhh
Your custom designs look so nice! I took a peek at them from Wendell and ahhhhhhhhhhh so much detail
It's amazing how you made the grass deteriorate in just the right place! I could never do that in a million years sob /too impatient, runs a lot
I really love how your place has a lot of gardens! You say there's no space left but I think you've got it just right o A o Did you plot reset or just work around your villagers' locations? Tom and Marshal are right in front of the cafe hahaha
I'm guessing you're not fond of road-based patterns?

...I like how your character has bedhead. :^)

How addicting it is. Plus this community! I love the design and personalities of the characters and how much awesome content and furniture has been added since I first played on the Gamecube.

I took over my boyfriend's town long before I was finished with mine, so I know what it's like to manage two towns :3 It's difficult, but fun at the same time! I'd say build all the pwps you want first, then move your dreamies in, then landscape around your pwps and villagers' houses, that way everything is in the right place and you don't have to worry about a villager moving in and killing your flowers. I'll be sure to visit your dream address when you have it up ^~^

I let my villagers move in random places and worked around them ^~^ I like the idea of having a more natural town vs a more organized plot resetting town. I was really happy that Marshal and Mitzi ended up being neighbors! Their houses look so good together. I run where there's space to to help create my dirt paths, but I can only run a short distance before I run the risk of killing flowers lol I don't think I've ever seen road based patterns (unless you're talking about things like brick path patterns?), I just use custom designs to cover my town square and the area outside my train station. Like I said, I'm super addicted to landscaping :D It's another one of my favorite things in this game.

haha I also just took over my boyfriend's town. It's just too much of a shame to let it sit neglected! I just wish I could rename it. I wish I could rename all my towns, actually, because I named them so casually. Now I have themes for them but their names don't fit!!! Peacity, the town I just acquired, is going to be woodland themed around Little Red Riding Hood, I think. Fang gets to be the wolf. I want to collect a lot of famous mushrooms for this town, and find mush furniture. It's already full of villagers but I have so many dreamies I want for the theme! It's really too bad we're only allowed 10 in one village. It's the whole reason I got another cartridge! >-<

So I guess everything will take extra long because I have several towns now...

I'm also more of a let the villagers randomly move in type of mayor :D It's fun finding out who gets to be neighbors!

I think my favourite aspect is the real time, real world (in terms of seasons and events) setting. There's no end point to the game, no strict progression path that *has* to be followed after completing the tutorial and getting the TPC. I can play as much as I like, whenever I like, and change the date and time to experience anything I choose. Choices come with consequences, but that's all woven into the gameplay.

It's just such an open game! So many different things to focus on, so many ways to make the experience enjoyable and meaningful to the individual player, instead of the usual game that requires players to follow the direction laid out in the game.

I like how it makes me feel calm. Also love decorating the houses, and customizing everything! My town is pretty aesthetic due to all my work, but I'd like to add more.

i think that my favourite aspect of new leaf is definitely the calm and relaxing feel of it, its such a lovely chill game. the events are great, the characters are cute and the concept/plot of the game is really addicting. you never run out of things to do on animal crossing, and there is always an adventure!

My favorite aspect of the game are the villagers. They're so many to experience, and it's really fun to befriend and meet new villagers. They always cheer me up at the end of a bad day. ^^

Definitely the PWPs or how the flowers sparkle.

PWP's make this game so much more fun because they add an artistic element to the game. With PWPs you can design around them to make that PWP a focal point for people who are dreaming of your town or simply just visiting. I definitely try to work my hardest around PWP's and villager houses with combos of flowers/trees/bushes and other cute items like fruits or candies.

I have to mention...

the FANBASE!

I think it's rare for a game to have such a nice fanbase. I've only had good experiences interacting and trading with acnl community.

I would still be careful if I were you, just in case. A few seemingly nice people have stolen from me, so just keep an eye out ^.^ But I agree, a lot of really nice people play animal crossing.
