Mine is make it so the next tool you pull out is the net, stand at the 2 o'clock position of the tree, shake it and get your net out, the villager will face the screen and then they can easily be caught.

What are all of yours?.

I always run behind the tree and try to run up, so that my villager can quickly turn around and face the screen, then I hold out my net and allow a second to snatch that bee up! Most of the time it works, statistically...7/8 times out ten for me. :)

I just run, turn back quick, open my inventory, equip the net, and catch it.
Yeah. That's basically it.

I run some distance, usually up but sometimes to the side. Then I actually open the inventory, grab the net, turn towards the bee and swing. Nowadays I am successful 9/10 times I try, but it does make more sense doing than explaining.

I run straight UP till the bees are out of sight behind. Then I open the menu and equip the net and close the menu which makes me turn around.
Then I hold down A till they're just about to hit me and then release A.
Running straight up is the trick for me.

Shake from behind and run up north. Go inside to your pockets (this will "freeze" the bees) and swap. Then swing your net.

I run up or to the side until the bees are off my screen, press X to open the inventory, equip my net, turn around, and swing when they get near. A lot of people do this I can see :p

Shake tree, casually walk north a few paces, use d-pad to pull net out, swipe with net, receive bee.

(or: shake tree, casually walk north a few paces, use d-pad, realize fishing rod was in pockets as well, receive bee sting...)

I either shake the tree and get the net from my pockets, then attempt to catch them, or make sure my net is the first tool to cycle through before getting in a good position, shaking the tree, and capturing the bees.
I've only ever caught them once though. ;w;

Run north, open your inventory which basically freezes everything, equip net which turns you round, close inventory, swing and hope for the best.......

Pretty much what most people here have said. I run, then open my inventory to freeze the action, equip my net, then unfreeze and swing before they get too close and about 8 or 9 times out of 10 I catch the bee. The 2,000 or 2,500 bells (I forget which) they are worth at Re-Tail is worth it, too.

Bees don't come after you when your inventory is open, like they'll even stay off screen, so I run straight up and open my inventory. I equip the net, and when I'm ready, close the inventory. As soon as they fly up to me, at the correct distance, I swing.

Shake tree from side, walk north two or three steps, open inventory to pause bees while equipping net, this will face me back south, wait until the bees complete their circle towards me so that when I close the inventory they'll make one more circle before heading towards me, then swing net. I hardly ever get stung any more, except when I forget my net or have bad luck that day.

Put all my equipment except the net in my letters.
Shake tree
Bee hive fall
Run like hell up North
Turn and face south
Quickly equip net and wait until they are almost a space away and swing.
Works all the time.

I keep only the net on me when doing this. Once a beehive drops from the tree, I dash away, use the D-pad to bring out the next, face the bees, and then catch them. Or I just run screaming until I find a house that is open.

I don't have a strategy yet as I always get stung by them but today was an improvement since I managed to run a few steps until they caught up and I got stung. -__- I'm hoping to catch them one day though.
