What is the most excruciatingly painful task in AC?

Yes I think the game has a few annoying tasks, like digging up the gyroids, fossils and the bamboo seeds (if it`s in an open space). Also plot resetting for the villager houses and resetting for villager personality.
I like watering flowers and pulling the weeds though, and you can choose the beautiful town ordinance if you don`t want to do it.
Making sure that villagers don?t move is if you want them to stay is another daily chore, because there is no option to make them stay permanently.

The one and only thing I do every day which I find painful is going to the high street and buying everything for my catalogue. I can never remember what I already have so tend to fill my inventory 2-3 times each trip. running backwards and forwards between all the shops and skipping the long winded text while trying to work out if it's worth going to kicks with only 4 free slots, or should I TIY and sell stuff first? OMG I CAN'T DECIDE! Ohh, yellow birdies! Wheeeee!! ^_^

It used to be collecting fruit but in New Leaf they made it easier by doing two things. Making you able to stack fruit and making fruit not as needed in this game in order to make bells. I also used to say watering flowers and plants but with the beautiful ordinance, it makes that go away.

I'd probably say doing the PWP diving trick. I really need to get some more PWP before I can get my dreamies and start my town but I'm not motivated enough to sit for hours and do that trick. :C

I would say watering flowers but I rarely water mine unless I'm breeding hybrids.

I think the most annoying task that I actually do is trying to get rid of all the extra flowers that villagers plant to make my town look less like the inside of a flower shop. I've given up on trying to keep track of which flowers are where, unless they're hybrids, because I think even my beaches would be full otherwise.

You don't need to fill up your inventory if you're not sure what you already have... you're just wasting bells on items that may be repeats. If you've unlocked the machine in the shop, you can use it to see what you've catalogued already without ordering anything. If you haven't, sites like moridb might help you keep track until then.

I do something similar (to finish cataloguing everything) and it can be boring at times.

Honestly for me it's landscaping, I always change my mind after I've planted all the bushes and laid all my paths. Then I have to dig up the bushes and go buy more lmao. And then sometimes I even end up putting some of them back in the same spot. It gets very aggravating

I'd say controlling my HUGE bamboo forest. It's so big and I have to keep digging up my bamboo shoots every other day. I always look at my calender every morning, and shudder when its "Bamboo Day". It's one of the most dreadful feelings you'll ever get when you're playing a video game.

Holy crap!!! Why dont you just enact the beautiful ordinace?? You dont have to water your flowers at all!! But mine would probably be collecting the fossils. Even though my museum is complete it just bugs me to see those stars on the ground!!

Generally just taking care of getting decent villagers. Plot resetting is generally hell, and I found out it's especially bad when you've just restarted your town and have no PWPs to stop them from moving into areas where you don't want them. Then there's getting villagers you don't want out... Have only had one villager move out in nearly a month now, and I need to get... 6 villagers out, I think (had to add one, since although I wanted to keep her, she's blocking a bridge I want to build ;-.

Also watering flowers is unfun. I would enact the beautiful town ordinance, but I want to get the weeding badge.
