What is the ACTUAL method for waking up Cyrus?

I made a new character but want Cyrus to wake up so he can customize furniture for her. I have sold way over 100,000 bells worth of items, have 10 clothes catalogued and about 37 furniture pieces. However, some sites are saying you need 50 clothes and 10 furniture, where others say 100 things catalogued in general, and another said only 50 furniture and 10 clothes. What is the real way to wake him up?

Pretty sure it's 50 furniture and 10 clothes plus selling 100000 at re-tail. I definitely didn't have 100 things catalogued when I woke him up.
