What if..

No, I wouldn't be mad at the person. I'd be mad at Nintendo for adding such a horrible feature (along with Streetpass villager sharing) that can't be turned off.

It's an assumed risk when I Wi-Fi with people/have Streetpass on, and if I really want to be careful, I'd just ask the person before trading if they have had any villagers sent to the void recently. Also, it's not easy to get everyone adopted, particularly if they are less popular villagers. So it's inevitable that people will have villagers sent to the void.

This actually happened to me with Violet. But I couldn't contact whoever it was because I traded with so many people. The town name started with 'N' though, that's all I know.
I would've told them that I got their villager and I'm pretty unhappy about it. That's all.

I would also rage a lot but I won't show it to them.

I give negative Wi-Fi feedback as a warning for other people.
Ouch, that's quite harsh. Should people who have voided villagers be banned from doing trades altogether then? I think if you absolutely don't want any unexpected villagers, you should ask the person you're going to trade with if they've voided any villagers recently before trading.

I don't really get how you can be mad at someone, I mean surely everyone has some voided villagers? Even if they moved from your town ages ago? Or is it just recently voided villagers that move into someone's town...

Still, I wouldn't be mad at someone and it wouldn't stop be from being their friend/trading with them again.

I got Rocco from someones town (before I reset)

And before that I got Hazel, of all people -.-
Man was I annoyed.

It can't really be helped, I mean if I got mad at people for it I'd be holding hundreds of grudges :/

Then again I just traded with someone today so I'm praying they didn't void a Barold or Jambette

I would be pretty mad if it was someone I didn't like, however I did get Fauna this way. c:

I've never had this happen yet. And I live in Japan, land of eleventy bajillion streetpasses. I also trade here on these forums a lot. Maybe I'm just lucky.

If it happened, it wouldn't really bother me too much.

Oh gosh. I was so scared I was going to end up with my friend's Deena since I visited his town to grab some petition signatures. Luckily, her plot never showed up. I'm pretty sure one of my friends got Velma though when I went to pick up Marshal from him.

Velma's pretty cute imo, but I know he hates her...

I was going to get Pate from a friend that I accidentally gave Kidd to as I didn't even realise it was possibly as he moved out like... 4days before. Instead, I didn't get Pate, I got Friga. If I did it Pate I would of been worried because I already have a peppy and I was getting Chrissy from someone else later that day xD

In my main town I rarely have an open slot; if I do I avoid connecting with anyone until I've gotten someone moved in and settled.

In my 2nd town I don't ask if other people have voided anyone, but I do warn them if I have someone in my outbox. I do try to dump the outbox by visiting someone with 10 villagers first but I can't always manage it.

Just curious: does visiting ANYONE first mean that the villager is dumped, or is it the first village you visit with under ten? I have Jambette moving out on the 13th and am picking up Fuchsia from someone on the 14th. I really don't want to saddle them with Jambette possibly, and I do have a friend with 10 villagers who would let me visit first. So if I visited that friend, would Jambette then go into her Wifi pool instead of the person giving me Fuchsia-- even though my friend has 10 villagers? Just something I've been curious about. XD

my friend and I have experimented with this; as far as we can tell, the outbox is dumped the VERY FIRST TIME you wifi or streetpass. It has worked every time for us so far. This is also what the Reddit guide says and I believe a lot of people have tried it there.

In your case, Jambette wouldn't go into a pool at your friend's town -- your outbox would be rejected and go into the real void. No more Jambette.

I think too many take this game way too seriously.
One more reason I don't bother to wifi with anyone that isn't on my best friends list anymore.
Not worth people getting butt hurt over things I cannot control.

Agree so much with this. You are at fault if you do not ask. If they lie, I can understand negative. If they are unsure and you take the risk and are unsatisifed, no worse than neutral. Hearing people fault you over this just makes me not want to interact with them.

Also this.

I did not know this, so thanks for sharing! *the more you know*

I would be a little upset, but I would forgive them. Everyone makes mistakes! There's really no villagers I would hate too much to scream at someone; but there are villagers I don't want to have. In the end, though, all would be forgiven and I would get that villager to move out eventually. :)

I think Velma is really cute. :) I had her in my first City Folk town, so I love her! <3
