Someone came to your town for a trade or something, and the next day you got their voided villager. ( not necessary one you liked )
would you be mad at them for not telling you? would you message them? or if this has happened to you, what was your reaction?
just curious.

I'd be a bit surprised and caught off guard. I got my friends' voided villagers once or twice.
I was only a little bit disappointed when one of my friend's villagers moved in unexpected taking my last spot when I was supposed to receive a villager I really wanted in ten minutes. I still sorta be jokingly mad at her, but nothing major haha.
I wouldn't bother messaging that person since its just a minor thing.

I did that to someone with Bertha... They weren't happy, but how was I supposed to know? -.- And now that I actually tried to do it with Marshal (who just randomly moved away) it fails...

I tend not to leave slots open long enough for this to occur but if it did I wouldn't be that mad, I don't think. I feel like it's sort of a risk you accept if you're doing trades and things, and it isn't like they did it on purpose. S'just part of the game... and you can always talk to that villager once when they're in boxes and then ignore them and they'll probably move out pretty quick.

Nope. I talked to most of the villagers but would ignore certain new move-ins during different points of my cycling... and the new move-ins I ignored would always ask to move out over the others. :3

I wouldn't really know whose town they came from. XD I mean, if it was one of my friends whose towns I visit fairly often and chat to their villagers, I'd know, and I wouldn't mind. I got Apollo that way and I felt pretty honoured that he wanted to come hang out with me. XD If it was a random trade person, I probably wouldn't remember the town anyway, and I think I can grow to like any villager. So... I still wouldn't mind. XD

I got Pietro and Mira from my sister that way, I didnt realize the 16 villager cycle was up, mira moved in a decent spot but Pietro ruined one of my paths /sigh

I get these all the time. I'm not really bothered by it, since I do a lot of trading over Wi-Fi. My main town is permanently at 10 villagers (so I can control who moves in and when), and my TT town was made with the assumption that I would have villagers moving in and out all the time.

You can't really blame a visitor though. It's not 100% that villagers in their void will move into your town if you have a 10th spot open. I guess you could be super paranoid and question every visitor before they visited your town if they recently voided a villager but seeing as how often villagers move out... I would see that be very silly because most likely everyone has a villager sitting in void limbo.

I just keep my town at 10 villagers all the time, therefore I don't get a random move in. Seems to be the best option next to.. don't ever visit people or let them visit you.

ahahaha you should try talking to him alot and befriending him! At least in my town, all the animals I talk to frequently always seem to want to move out of my town.
