What if New Horizons villagers become available as Amiibo?

Considering that most of the new villagers are popular such as Raymond, Judy, Dom, and Sherb. Will you consider purchasing their Amiibo if it becomes available? (Honestly, Nintendo missed an opportunity to "milk" the franchise even further.)

As for the poll, I want to make it really simple. Feel free to post your comments of why would you consider buying one? And why not?

Here's kinda what I am expecting to see or read. But I am sure you may have better reasons.

• I want them to live in my island, duh! He or she is my dream villager!
• I want to sell them for Bells and other stuff.
• I want to destroy Raymond's market price.

Personally, I'm not interested for two main reasons:

1. Every little bit of savings counts towards paying off student loans asap
2. While randomness can be frustrating at times, I find the wait to see who is my campsite villager or Mystery Island villager to be fun. Particularly with Mystery Island tours, I get to meet a lot of different villagers, many of which I found to be significantly more appealing to see in-game compared to their wiki icon.

Are we talking about Amiibo cards or the little figure things? Because I could be interested in cards just for moving villagers out (don't have villager amiibo cards currently.) I definitely wouldn't be willing to have one of them standing around on a shelf somewhere though, they're not that great

I am not interested since none of them are my favourites (though I like the designs of Cyd and Reneigh). I would be very happy for the people who really want them and will hopefully have an easier time in acquiring those villagers

At this point, we won't ever know until Nintendo releases them. But feel free to assume both cases.

For myself, I am just sick and tired of island hopping for Judy. The recent experience made my patience "snap" a bit.

I'd love to see them become amiibos! I'm kind of sickened by the amount of NMT and items people want for villagers like Raymond. I'd love to see that kind of thing die down so more people can get the new villagers they want without struggling so much!

I for one would purchase a Dom amiibo immediately!

My reasons ? I like to have amiibos of the villagers I really love (like Cyd), so if I want to let them move out one day to eventually discover new villagers and potential dreamies, I can let them come back if I miss them too much.

Right now I have Raymond who's not a dreamie but I grew very attached of him and can't decide myself to let him leave... Also, I did this with Audie and sometimes I miss her...

And finally yeah, if they had amiibos the market for the new villagers would be more reasonable and it would be a good thing (those prices )

i'm only a maybe because i don't feel strongly about any of the villagers released for new horizons. i might get reneigh because she has a decent design for an uchi, but the other bbs aren't my cup of tea.

if they drop some new villagers i like and release their amiibos i'll be all over it. ac is my fav game and we all have silly things we'll dump money into. plus the fake amiibos are cheap af lol.

i’m not really into amiibo and so i haven’t purchased any cards/figures but i have been thinking about it but damn those things are expensive LMAO. if i were to purchase them, i’d have to be fast after they release before they sell out and start getting resold on ebay for wayyy too much money lmao. so for rn, it’s a maybe >_<

I've started going back and collecting the cards of my favorite villagers, so that if I decide to let them leave, I can always bring them back later. I just like the flexibility it gives you when playing. I would definitely be interested if there were cards of the new villagers, as I like quite a few of the new villagers. I'd be less interested if they were figurines; the cards are just easier to store.

Nintendo is hard to predict, but I'd really hope this will happen at some point, though I could see it still being a year or years away (I don't remember how many years it was between 'New Leaf' and the 'Welcome Amiibo' update). With the price amiibo cards are going for on eBay and the amount of counterfeit amiibos out there, it seems like there is clearly a demand for them.

The cost of developing new amiibo cards like that vs what Nintendo would make from doing it doesn’t seem very high.... so I wouldn’t hold your breath. It seems more like they added them to generate hype around the game and bring light to their new mechanic of getting villagers. The only way I see it is if In a future update we get more new villagers added and altogether those villagers get amiibo. O however this seems very low on Nintendo priority list when they are releasing updates with holidays for the first year and re inventing old concepts to incorporate

I will only consider buying amiibo card packs if I get 6 cards per pack. If they reprint and do the same as before where packs cost nearly as much as the ones in the US but only came with 3 cards (2 villagers + 1 NPC) they can keep them.

I want them so I can finally feel ok about letting them go off my island and then inviting them back at my own convenience. Right now half my island is made up of the new babies and I want to keep them forever, but it does block me from getting other villagers I want...

I'm not entirely interested in others while I got a certain cat on my island by pure randomness in my campsite. If we're talking about Nintendo reissuing amiibo cards for other villagers, I'm totally in. I only bought three packs before they were no longer on store shelves and I wouldn't mind getting more variety in my collection.
