So I don't know how this hit me. It must be summer break! But I realized something. All through the past I tried to make my towns look so much like people's on YouTube that I would stress my self out if I couldn't find the perfect town. Or pay off my home loan in the timeline the you tuber did. Then today I got out my SD card and looked at my old pictures of my town. The memories came flashing back to me and thought what happened to these kind of moments like these. So now I am going to make a new town and make it MY own town. I am going to get my sister and cousin to play again (although that might be hard considering my sister lost her game) and I am going to take everything at my pace and make my own paths just like I did in my old town Palgrave. So I am super excited!!! If you want to visit my old town Palgrave(I forget the DA) so type in onto the search option: Town: Palgrave, Player name:Renata.

So this what I realized today. Gosh my old town gets me so emotional sometimes!

You gotta play the way that makes you happy! Play for fun, not stress. I'm putting a lot of pressure on myself to make my town perfect but trying to remember to relax and enjoy.

I had that problem stress and all and forgot how to relax and enjoy the game. But now no more stress and more fun. Hope you have fun making your perfect town

Thanks for sharing - this thread made me really happy for some reason!

I've had the same problem ever since I took Animal Crossing online. Seeing other people's completed and beautiful towns makes me want to make mine as pretty as theirs and to do it as soon as possible. It really takes away the enjoyment! That's why I took part in the One Year Challenge here on two years. I'm in right now too with my other town and it has helped me some. I think I've figured out what I myself want to do with my towns but I've once again started feeling pressure to speed up the process of building them so this was a great reminder to take things slower!

Anyway, good luck with your new town! Take things at your own pace, enjoy the journey and the small everyday things in ACNL and don't compare your town to other people's too much!

Aw I love that this thread made you happy. I am glad you started taking things slower thank you very much

I enjoyed reading this, but I'd like to know how you're going to change since I feel like it might help me. I noticed I barely 'play' anymore, I focus on decorating my town and barely interact with villagers and do their tasks, fish/catch bugs or go online. I'd like to go back to actually playing again, but I'd like some tips on what to do and what to avoid. :p

I think you need to focus on you and don't watch any walkthroughs and town tours it might give you inspiration but it might cause you to make your town perfect like theirs. That's what I'm gonna try to do.
