I've been pretty bummed that I dont have any northern rock peninsulas... idk what to do with the north side....

I have several different areas on my southern beaches... a fairground; a small waterfront tearoom; my campsite; a secluded beach with hammocks, a BBQ etc; and a kind of rock garden /memorial design with the anchor statue in the middle.

I actually meant to say what have you done with the northern side of the island the one that doesnt have a beach heh

Not having rocks at the top of your island means you can jump off the second tier cliffs straight into the water. I like doing that sometimes, it's fun! I'd probably have my picnic area up there with a little path to get a running start if it wouldn't have to be in an awkward spot for me.

Now I just have a path that runs along the back of the cliffs to the beach, a villager home that overlooks the sea, and a decently large area that I'm saving for future projects.

The entire northern part of my island is a "main street" of sorts, with the right upper corner leading to a residential area.

My large rocks are on the northern parts of my beach and I wish they were not. Lol. Because of how I build my northern island, theres not much reason to venture up there on the beach.

I didn't terraform as much as other ppl so I still have the cliffs in the back from the original layout. I don't have any rocks in the North either so I didn't see the point in changing the cliffs. On the cliffs I have a pool, some houses, and the museum tho.

I didnt know u could jump off!! I'm totally gonna try this out and probably make a cliff jumping spot now !!! Cool to know

I got rocks all around the north side but I just built a tier 1 cliff and put my orchard, campsite and a neighbourhood with all the houses in the back there so I could use all the other space for decorating

My character's house is the northwest corner of my map, on the second level cliff. I also have a bamboo/ rock garden on the the third level cliff, Raymond lives near my house, and a flower garden area on the northeast side (third tier). I didn't do much terraforming and mostly worked with what the map gave me, and now I'm too lazy to make big changes. Lol!

Haha, glad to help! I sometimes find myself doing it just because I can. It's a lot more satisfying than walking into the sea from the beach!

If you do end up making it, I'd love to see the result! ^^

I have a few rock peninsulas on the north side of my island. Most of them are hiding items I put out to boost my rating but don't want to display. I have a few beds prepared for lily of the valley plants, and I'll take up a number of things, once I have enough flowers.

Here's the entrance to my secret beach, which you can kind of see in my haunted house thread pics. It leads to a very short, narrow path. Also, you have to squeeze past the sign to get inside, which I think adds to the charm!

Here's the secret beach itself- the pirate theme looks SO cute with it

This spot is literally one of my favorites on my island! If you noticed the wooden ramp in my haunted house post, it leads up here. You can look out over the ocean and catch a glimpse of the secret beach. I just think it looks SO cute! When you stand in the corner and see the secret beach it really has a lovely pirate-y feel and is just lovely.

And, last but not least, I had an empty spot on a top tier cliff so I just tossed this together last night. It's temporary until I find something else I want to do with it, but it looks cute for now!

Also, these pics aren't fully staged and are from spring, since I'm TTing there right now. I'll get better pics of them up eventually once I re-do my island thread, but these give you an idea how it looks!
...They also give me a chance to show off that I finally got one of my favorite in-game shirts the other day and my character looks super cute in her new outfit 🥰

I have rocks in the northern side but I never really utilized them fhjsjd LOL.
The northern side is my favorite part of the island too! Majoritey of my far north is pure cliff walkways, I made them in a way that you can see the sky and sea clearly from that angle :) I have a small 3rd tier area specifically for stargazing, but the 2nd tier walkway leading to that area is a good spot to look out too!

I tried it out and found a perfect place for jumping in and cleanse thyself lol... but what really amazed me was when I ran and jumped and I did not expect to do a flip!! That was so awesome...

I have some rocks.. But i mainly decorated around my secret beach and used the 2 level for my museum and campsite

I like my island to look natural so the cliffs remain from my original island. I’ve just set up my campsite and a few villager houses as my villager homes are spread around the island. I’ve also got some ponds, waterfalls and natural areas.

I haven’t done much with the northern side of my island aside from decorating my secret beach and making a small mermaid cove on the one rock I have.
The northern part used to be a little forest trail and a makeshift swimming pool (aka large lake lol) but I thought it was eating too much space for something that was so empty so I had terraformed most of that away.
What’s left is a graveyard which is pretty much still in tact and a half finished attempt at making a tourist-y spot.
Now I’m thinking of placing my neighborhood there but I’m still too lazy to get down to terraforming and moving houses :’D

Ooh yes, the flip is the best part :D

I really like the back of my island a lot! but I wish I could do more with the rocks on the back, I don't have much space there so I decided to not really do much with it

on the left top of my map (next to the beach) I have my campsite on a 2nd level cliff, alongside a zen garden + zen spa and a star gazing spot. But the rocks behind it are quite empty atm, because my clifs are in front of it and you can't see much of it. I think all I have there right now is a wind turbine (that I actually should remove haha)

on the right side of my map (also next to the beach) I have an outdoor diner + big kitchen + stools and tables, it connects with the beach next to it where I have tables, stools, lamps and a little beach bar on the rocks in the back. I also have a little cliff behind the diner: on the first level I put neon diner signs and on the second level I have a picnic spot (there used to be a tiny library, but I prefer the picnic spot because you're chilling behind the neon signs of the busy diner and I think it looks cool! It feels like a picnic behind the Hllywood sign to me lol) next to it is a little kinda-secret path that leads you to the picnic spot, and before the path (so still on the 2nd level cliff) you have a spot with forced perspective, looking over my rocks on the back where I put a lighthouse + gulliver items and tiny car models (the pocket camp items) I tried to make a train track there but it isn't very visible, so I'm not sure if i'll keep it how I have it now, I might make some more space for it or remove it all together

(Benjamin was walking there once on my login screen! so cute)

while continuing walking down the path Benjamin is on, you see this view
but like I said, it's not very obvious/visible, so I'll probably change this part of my island soon
