what happens when....

this is stupid but does anyone know what happens when.. for instance I had Ankha in my town already, and I went to someone else's town where she was in boxes and asked her to move in my town. Would I get double Ankha ?? WHAT THE HECK.

sorry this is probably blatantly obvious but still I'm curious.

Nope, you can't have two of the same villager. The "move into my town" dialogue wouldn't even appear.
