What happens if you don’t craft for a camper?

So I invited a camper via amiibo today and their souvenir request was gold dishes. I find that ridiculous, I am not just giving away my gold nuggets as I have so few and can’t farm more until eggs stop popping out of rocks. I thought maybe at the very least if I gave it to her I would get a higher value return gift, but I got a stache and glasses lmao, so I reset.

Anyone know what happens if you don’t give them the crafted item they request? Can you still invite them back tomorrow to try again? I assume it won’t go towards my total of three visits for them to agree to move in, but I’m willing to take that so long as I can try again.

if you craft something for them 3 times they can move in at the 3rd time

Nothing happens. They just wont move in until you complete crafting requests three times. They might give you more recipes on other days. My husband had to scan Sprinkle in five times because we have an issue with getting cosmos and she kept wanting recipes with cosmos.

I had Willow yesterday and she wanted a tall garden rock. Not difficult, but it uses a lot of stone, which I didn't have.

I scanned Sally in today, and she wanted a log sofa. Much easier!

I know! I haven't been aggressively trading for flowers yet. She also asked for something with hyacinths and two other things that he had. It took him about five tries just because he had bad luck with recipes that she wanted. But, he has her now and he is so happy she is all moved in.

hiii! i have all three base kinds of cosmos naturally on my island, and i have a huge surplus! i’d gladly trade away some for other kinds of flowers!
