Hyacinths, Lilies for sure. I mostly like using green mums. I try to have flower mixes with lots of different types and colors through so it's more interested then the repeating pattern of two colors or two flowers.

Less=more is definitely a good theory!
I stick by what I enjoyed in NL, which was mixing/matching colors AND breeds.
I really don't like having all one breed in an area. Same color is okay, but mixing colors is definitely nice too.
I only just started playing around with laying out flowers, since I started getting enough "stock". I'm still missing some of the flowers I want to use though.
I really love green mums. The color is just so neutral and pretty.
I also love white anything - again, the color being neutral makes it very useful.
Generically, I am a big fan of the Hyacinth! I have very few since it's not my native or sister flower, but I'm working on getting more. I also love mums and cosmos (cosmos are just SO CUTE and mums look like weeds and I'm All About That Look).
Windflowers and pansies are probably my least favorite? Idk the windflowers just look kind of off to me (blue is great though) and the pansies are just really dark in general.
I started with tulips, which I'm also not a huge fan of. I think they look good in moderation.

I have all the flowers and colors, but I have the most of roses and windflowers. Thanks to my flower counting project, I found out that I have 110 pink windflowers, so I guess those are my favorite
Just due to the sheer number of them and my ease at which to breed them, I'd say I have the most lilies. Though I'm very partial to the windflowers and mums, it's been a slower process in trying to breed them (especially that finicky green mum) so the lilies have sort of taken over just because they've been so easy to hybridize.
I use white windflowers, roses, and lilies everywhere as a base and pop some color around them - typically blue hybrids of any variety.

Mums and cosmos are my preferred flowers for my gardens/decorating, mainly green/pink mums and orange/pink cosmos. Also, it's a good idea to experiment combinations of flowers that are not the same type, such as mixing some black cosmos with green mums, purple pansies and white windflowers. You'd be surprised what kinds of lovely flower aesthetics can be discovered!

I’m literally the most basic tumblr cottagecore hoe, so I use a lot of white flowers— my favorites are cosmos, hyacinths, and tulips! But I’ve used all the different flowers in white across my island.
That being said, I’m a huge fan of the pink and orange flowers, particularly pink hyacinths/roses and orange cosmos/tulips. They’re such pretty colors but I’m not sure how to incorporate them into my island design!

Since my town is supposed to be rusty, I love using flowers that are orange, black, and red. Black and orange lilies are my favorite, but I also love black tulips and red and orange pansies.
I agree that Wolfie of Honeywood has shared online some incredibly artistic and inspiring designs. I've been copying them. But of single flowers, my favorites are the red pansy and black cosmos. They are perfect for a gothic island but I also just really love the color black and also dark reds.

And weeds. Weeds everywhere, if those count as flowers.
Basically I’m in love with weeds and white mums (the white mums remind me of the dandelions in new leaf and so do the weeds).
