I started building my amusement park and have my tea cup ride, Godzilla, cotton candy machine and popcorn machine but I don't really know what else to put in, the right side looks good but the other looks pretty empty and tips?

How about some balloons from the fireworks shows? I put a bunch in my boardwalk area last night and it really helps fill out the space with some color/fun!

That's a good idea but when do the fireworks show happen I been playing but it hasn't come up yet....?

You could also try putting some vending/drink machines in as well as some different soft serve lamps.

Stalls could work, too, maybe with some prizes like teddy bears.
Fireworks take place every sunday in august (I think?), but you can sometimes find balloons in Nook's Cranny.

Edit: Wheel of fortune is also a great carnival item.

Blood and axes

The colorful wheel for sure. Floor lights of all colors... Most other stuff has already been said. Maybe like the blue exercise ball as well. A colorful stereo with a song as well. Maybe balloon hats on display?

If you have space to spare, you could make a racetrack with the throwback race-car beds.

I've got some candy machines, a wheel of fortune and a bunch of soft serve lamps! plus a giant teddy bear for a 'prize'

You can also do pinball machines or video games - the brake tapper is colorful and adds some fun sound effects.

I added some tire toys, the springy horse thingies,a sandbox and an elephant slide to the bigger carnival/amusement park items.

You can create a petting zoo/caged animal area. My carnival has a giant teddy bear caged behind iron bars with a gnome feeding him :)

Carnival games like the duck shooting one, but could use fish models instead. Reward stand using the bears or mom's plushie. A sweets stand, can display a birthday cupcake and a sparkler (they kind of look like rock candy when displayed).

Maybe you could add an arcade area? Like, some arcade games, and then some stalls with "prizes" (balloons, dolls, baby bears, bubbles, etc.)

Also, fireworks shows are every Sunday night in August.

Set up some stalls to look like ticket booths for the attractions!

For my carnival area I added a couple stalls (It’s the diy you get from spending Nook Miles) customized to a colour scheme that I liked. On them I put prizes. Like Mom’s Plushie, Teddy Bears etc. Beside the stalls I put the Colourful Wheel so it’s almost like one of those carnival games you play to win prizes.
