Alright.
I ordered some food today by credit card. I've been ordering there for quite sometime now but today, when I looked at the receipt, it said that I had a delivery charge of $2.00. I double checked their flier and and said that delivery is free if your order is more than $19.00 before taxes. I look at the receipt and my order was $21.15 before taxes. I called them up and asked them why I was charged for delivery. The person told me that, since because out of all the times I called for delivery, I never gave them a tip. Now here's the problem. Was it right for them to tip themselves or, was it wrong for me to not tip them during those times I ordered for delivery?

You should have tipped them yes, but tips are not required. It was wrong for them to do that.

Well, the reason why I don't tip them because to my understanding, tips should be given if you provided them good service. Because out of all those times I ordered delivery, there wasn't even a "thank you for ordering our food" or something like that. It was only a "Here's your food, the total is <insert amount here>" monotonous voice.

fast service=tip
slow service=none or very little
Well, they do mention when will it be done.
Like, they said 35 minutes and it was delivered exactly at 35 minutes.
The only thing that bugs me is the way they speak. There isn't even a hint of happiness.

well they can't be cheerful and happy...they are working after all, and ur just another customer to them lol

It's really stupid for them to charge you extra, because you never tipped before.
Like, why should you? You said they never said Thank you or anything like that. SO screw them.

Pfft. Those a holes.
Don't give them a tip, seriously, if they're not giving you good service then send them to hell.
I'll take care of them there.

Also, if they are going to be sneeky little Things about that.
Don't order from them anymore.
Show that something that silly that they have had to do, is not worth your time.
And go elsewhere.

Honestly I think you should always give a tip. And I have to side with them on this one.

one time, we were at this esspensive restaurant, and we gave a tip, not knowing that they took one themselves! so our waitress must've made a LOT of cash that day.

The only time people would get tips is when I'm standing at the door, waiting for them to count my change. So I just tell them to keep it.
I mean, my food is getting cold, and the heat is escaoing from my house, NOW BEGONE BRINGER OF FOOD!

You should always tip them I mean they have a crappy job mostly seen mean people who don't tip them and..just tip them no matter what its the nice/right thing to do.
