what does a blue light mean when acnl is in?

sorry if this doesnt go here, but when i have the game on and i put it in sleep mode, what does it mean when a blue light shows up on the notification thing? i read somewhere spotpass notification but i dont know exactly what that means. i checked the thing in the middle of town where if u pass someone their house does there but theres nothing new.

Spotpass works (in animal crossing) as a concept where you can get exclusive furniture and stuff from certain places. So if it appears again, it check the post office and ask for a gift. Although, this features scrapped, so it's probably option 2 below

If you meant streetpass, then it might be a person you passed by, but they don't own animal crossing

ok thanks. usually when i pass someone it turns green, and as soon as i got back on the light went away.

i've heard its because someone visited your dream town and you haven't checked in with luna lately about your dream town. otherwise i dont think there's another explanation, no more spotpass gifts and HHA is green light, so...

Yeah, I've noticed this is always why it's telling me I have Spotpass notifications now.
