• Our 2026 Easter egg hunt has concluded and the egg locations have been revealed. Congratulations to Xara, Millysaurusrexjr, and xlisapisa for winning a Golden Easter Egg! Meanwhile, TBT's Fifth Egg Decorating Contest remains open for submissions through Thursday!

What do you wish they had done differently?

Other than what's already mentioned, I would have liked it if they obliterated the "too close to rivers/cliffs/villager-house/etc" when "there's plenty enough room for it to actually fit" hoopla. >:0

That Isabelle would tell you before you play:
"All set! Oh yeah, Mayor? <villager> is thinking about moving. Maybe you'd want to talk to him/her."
.. instead of walking in front of villagers and being paranoid that you hadn't talked to them all.

When your villagers tell you, "you look tired, maybe you should take a break," what it feels like every 10 minutes.
It's like, just let me enjoy my addiction without being lectured

I agree that you should be able to choose where to put houses, and having more than one town on a cartage would be interesting.

But I think backpacks would be cool. Like, you could buy it as an accessory and when you wear it you have extra space to carry things. It'd be pretty helpful when you're collecting things to sell or catching bugs/fish. It'd probably look cute on your character too~
Backpacks would be awesome!!!! And maybe you could get bigger and bigger ones for more money

You should be able to rotate ground patterns so you don't use up 4 spots for the same corner piece. And be able to rotate some PWP.

this is the thing that annoys me the most, tbh... i'm running out of space so fast :c
some pwp's would look great in my town if i was only able to rotate them but i'll just try to find another spot... *sigh*

My two biggest gripes with the game:

1. Moving mechanics. I have lost three villagers I DIDN'T want to leave because they never told me anything, even though I make sure to talk to each and every one of my villagers once a day at least. Once they're in boxes it's too late. In past AC games you could still convince them to stay once they were packed up. That's B.S.

2. Grass wear. It was a badly implemented feature in City Folk, and it's still a badly implemented feature here.

I wish I chose a better map when I started, I didn't think I would be putting so many paths and PWPs in my town, but now the layout is annoying. I also wish I didn't put my house in this very small part right in front of the train tracks and right behind the river, there's no space.

It'd be nice if we could move anything like we can with other PWP's. I don't see why you can't move the cafe, or the campsite, etc. My campsite is in the worst possible spot because I was stupid. I only realized after the fact just how stupid I Was to choose that particular place for it. It's directly behind the town hall so you can't see it, and can't see if there's a camper there unless you try to enter it. And if there IS a villager camping, it destroys the two tiles of paths in front of it.
