What do you wish they had done differently?

What would you have done differently or wish they had in ACLF?

1. I wish that you could choose house placements of the villagers
2. I wish paths would be placed and picked up more easily (makes me annoyed when I'm facing north and then it will go 2 spaces east when there's a closer spot near me

I agree with 1 and 2, also it would be amazing if you could create multiple towns on one cartridge. (That said, more than three would be a little overdone, but at least two towns on one game would be great) ​

I agree with that :/ I want to restart but I don't want to lose this town because I've unlocked everything If I could completely clear my town like a reset but keep the stuff I've unlocked I would be pleased

I agree that you should be able to choose where to put houses, and having more than one town on a cartage would be interesting.

But I think backpacks would be cool. Like, you could buy it as an accessory and when you wear it you have extra space to carry things. It'd be pretty helpful when you're collecting things to sell or catching bugs/fish. It'd probably look cute on your character too~

That's actually probably really difficult for them to do. You see, the way I think patterns work is that the pattern in your inventory stores all the data. When you place it on the ground, instead of creating a whole new section to store the data of the pattern on the ground, it instead just says "this spot here is taken by this pattern" and makes a reference back to it.

Now, if they were to do what you said, they'd have to set aside a lot of data as each pattern on the ground that got erased from your inventory has become a new separate object.

It's complicated, but it's the reason why we can't have what you want.

Also, the villager house placement doesn't bother me as much as the freaking tile/pattern laying. I mean, I get that it's optional, but I wish it were easier. I laid 4 tiles and I just... ugh. I don't think I can take laying down a whole path. I admire people who are able to make elaborate paths through their towns. I salute you! o Ao7

More space for custom paths in the inventory would be nice, you know instead of having to make a new player character and get them to spend ten days just to get the QR machine. Also, I think there should be more part-time jobs as well as more previous villagers visiting your town, for example just wondering around the town interacting with people and actually using those seats with the table in the cafe.

I'd love it if they had given you the option of putting the QR machine in your home. I had that I need to wait till Able Sisters opens to use it.
