What do you wifi for?

Ah I remember the good ol city folk days when we would wifi to hang out. Now seems like everyone is more interested in items and events than getting to know each other or just hanging out together.

I only have 2 people I do this with. I find this sad.

Maybe I'm one of the few left who like to wifi for the company. Not to get items. Trade villagers etc.

Is anyone else with me?

Mix of both for me.
I think the hanging out will increase once more people get the villagers/items they want- it's kind of a mad scramble for stuff at the moment

I'd wifi a lot more just to hang out if the chat function wasn't so horrible in AC lol... It's such a pain to write stuff out in the game and the messages disappear fast unless it's bff list and the space to write is tiny. So I mostly use wifi to be a merchant. xD

Usually when I WiFi it's to hang out, although lately I've realized I only hang out with a small selection of people despite my Friend List being kinda large (Not that I dislike most of them, I just feel rude waltzing into other people's towns uninvited.)

I do make the occasional trade, though.

I love visiting other people's towns and asking them to show me around. So many people have pride in what they have done and created. Also I love visiting other villagers to see what they look like and act like. I think its important on special events to have friends visit and also to visit friends!

Both -- I have a group of friends and we hang out a lot. But I also trade pretty regularly. I would say it's like 80% hanging out at least, though.

I added a whole bunch of people to my friends list a few days before NL was released with the intention of having some people I could just hang out with. A few weeks later, I notice that only a few of them are actively online, and it's only declined since.

I now usually only go online with a specific purpose in mind, be it to trade villagers, sell turnips, let people in to get their petitions signed, or whatever. I'd love to add some people to just have someone whose town I could just jump into (or someone who could just go into my town) to hang out or whatever, but I always feel like I wont be active enough.

I use wi-fi to trade, buy and do events. If I use it for hanging out its only to visit towns of really close friends.

I only buy, sell, trade and giveaway. I really don't hang out as there really isn't much of a reason to do so. >_> lol

THIS. I've had some fun wi-fi experiences in ACNL, but only with people who are patient with my slow typing, and are slow typists themselves. The in-game typed chat option is very, very poor. So now I mostly Wi-Fi for trades, or with my two best gfs, who are crappy, slow typists just like me.

On top of which, I don't really want to talk a lot while playing ACNL. Having trusted friends over is great, because there's no need to fill the silences up with junk chatter.

I love to hang out with people through wi-fi, but there's only one person I actively wi-fi with, and she's one of my closest friends. I have another friend that I used to hang out with, but his internet is unreliable so I don't hang out with him that much.

Trading/selling/whatever isn't a thing I do that often, so most of the time it's me going solo.
