Are you a lineiest? A Splitest? Whatever you are, tell what you think the Legend of Zelda timeline is! what game is first? Last? Tell what you believe in!

Here are all of the Legend fo Zelda ganes in order from when they were released:

<div class='spoiler_toggle'>Spoiler: click to toggle</div><div class="spoiler" style="display:none;">The Legend of Zelda
Zelda II: The Adventure of Link
The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past
Link's Awakening
Ocarina of Time
Majora's Mask
Oracle of Seasons/Oracle of Ages
Four Swords/XD
The Wind Waker
Four Swords Adventures
The Minish Cap
Twilight Princess
Phantom Hourglass

There's no timeline. He's a hero of time, and he travels between time.

even if that was true, that still means that there is time, which causes for a time line.

I don't think there is a time line, either. They just use the characters to tell different stories. But sometimes there's ones that try to form a time line, which is fine. Like in OOT and Majora's mask. The stories aren't significantly lined up with each other. They're just different stories using the same characters.

Minish Cap
Ocarina of time
Then because of Link and Adult Link the timeline splits into two which is alot more complicated and I don't want to get into it completely.
But Basically Adult Link goes back in time of course leaving Hyrule vunurable in that timeline so Ganon is released and thus begins Wind Waker and then Phantom Hourglass but in young links timeline however, young link and zelda warn the King of Ganon then link goes to Termina (Majora's Mask) to find Navi, then on his way back o Hyrule he crash lands on a island (Link awakening) then once he returns he has seen that Ganon has taken over Hyrule (Zelda 1) then transfers into Zelda 2 then after the succesfully capture ganon he is sealed away and then comes in Link to the past and four swords then Twilight Princess....it's really complicated so i'm just going to leave it at that.

But both Oracles probably aren't part of the main timeline because Din and Nayru aren't godesses in there and it was made by Capcom.

Miyamoto and some other guy actually have a real timeline stashed away and when they make a new game they put it in there, they said they aren't releasing it because they want to focus on making the games themselves, but one day I hope they do....

Then because of ]my time line is VERY similar to yours, accept for a few things that i don't want to get into(it could take paragraphs)

The split-timeline theory is truth, and here is my own timeline theory:

................................../@--> TWW@ -- PH --|--> LoZ* -- AoL
TMC --> FS --> +OoT
..................................\-- MM --> TP* --> +FSA @--> ALttP* -- LA --> OoA/OoS

Legend:
LoZ: The Legend of Zelda
AoL: The Adventure of Link
ALttP: A Link to the Past
LA: Link's Awakening
OoT: Ocarina of Time
MM: Majora's Mask
OoA: Oracle of Ages
OoS: Oracle of Seasons
FS: Four Swords
TWW: The Wind Waker
FSA: Four Swords Adventures
TMC: The Minish Cap
TP: Twilight Princess
PH: Phantom Hourglass
-->: Games are connected chronologically, but feature different Links
--: Games are directly linked and feature the same Link
/: Timeline A, with adult Link and Ganon sealed
\: Timeline B, with young Link and the King is warned of Ganondorf's intentions
*: Ganon is killed
@: Ganon is sealed
+: A new Ganondorf is born
|: The Great Sea drains and Hyrule is unflooded. The Master Sword is somehow removed from Ganondorf's stone body, reviving him.

I'll post a picture if I ever make one. =P

Chronologically I think "Links Awakening" is the beginning considering its pretty much in the title. I think Wind Waker and Phantom Hourglass are the latest chronologically because of what Ganon said at the end of Ocarina of Time.

Minish Cap is the only Zelda game I haven't played but i'm pretty sure it's how it began but IDK what happened to the hat, Link's awakening is called that however because at the end of the game Link wakes up to figure out it could've all been dream.

Somewhat but Ganon only dies in TP.

Somewhat but explain to me how LoZ fits in after WW? and how TP after MM.
