What do you think the layout your map will be like?

I have heard rumors that your town will be on an island or on a peninsula, but I believe our island is the same as before but with a larger indent of ocean on the first tier. I attached an image I just whipped up on Paint to create a visualization.

1)- The large indent of ocean, this is where your character would be swimming in the video.
2)- a waterfall created by the two tiers
3)-your central river
4)- the slim first tier depicted in tailors, all of it is beach. In the game, I could imagine part of it being grassy.
5)- buildings...meh
6)- trees, flowers, bushes, etc.

I never thought of it that way.. really shortens up the river, but it does make sense. Although, I kind of like the idea of being on a peninsula.

I agree, the idea of a peninsula makes it sort of feel like your in your own world and your don't have to be connected to everyone else as much

reminds me of that crazy animal crossing fanfic where all the towns were kinda connected, and on that island.

the only problem i see with being on a peninsula or an island is borders (for when you go swimming), but that's easily solved by adding in buoys or something to mark off-limits territory, i guess.
