What do you think of a long skirt for school?

I really like the design of the skirt, but I've never worn a skirt so long. I'm a little self-conscious.

The skirt is the length of these skirts:

The material is very soft, and it's very flowy. There aren't pleats or anything.

I'll be wearing it with my school uniform which looks like this (except that my blazer is solid navy, and there aren't any stripes on the uniform.) :

But I say go for it. Long skirts may not be what's "in" (especially not around that age), but who cares?

The reason why I feel self-conscious is because I'd be the only one wearing a skirt that length. I don't want to seem weird, but I don't want to jump on the bandwagon... I think I'll just try to lose my inhibitions and be confident. ^^

I think long skirts are elegant and lovely .
At my school, the skirts are designed in such a way that they look ugly if they're long... Most of the girls modify the skirts to be shorter anyway. My skirt was second-hand so I got it pre-modified, lol.

Anyway, I think they look great! You could start a trend.

Sounds good. And who knows, maybe you'll inspire other kids at your school to wear long skirts, too. I mean, you said yourself that the reason you're afraid to wear one is because you'd be the only one, so maybe that's the same reason no one else will wear one - because no one else is.

Actually no, I've found long skirts have recently come in fashion recently, especially like maxi skirts and etc. ^^ I think they look really pretty, especially some of the floral ones. SO why not go for it?
